Yh, Adam is a very nice kid and would be a shame for him to get banned over something utterly trivial.
+1 to pleno, just buy bottled water you shameful nits!
If you read back, he says he drinks tea, so was arguing on behalf of somebody else?
Won't derail thread further.

JUST ORDER BOTTLED WATER ITS £1.75! The valet will bring it to you, you can give her a £2 coin and toke her the change like a balla, enjoy her appriciative smile and shamelessly oggle over her as she walks away.
Poker players are hilarious, the amount of times Ive sat next to someone who's forked out £2,000 and £140 juice to play a poker tournament but is legitimately rattled that they try to charge him £1.50 for lemonade
@Doobs, yh I know - hence why I said trivial.

Would be a huge shame if Adam did get banned from the site/club, so so good stuff gets said about DTD here so it's sad if we can't be a little neutral.
As I would say a friend of Adam's and I could be seen to be in his side, I think the argument is a little weak and just paying for a bottled water is fine, the Valets are obviously super busy and with respect to GUKPT, DTD usually have 3x as many people in there and these are pretty girls dressed relatively sexily, not old timers in trousers and jumpers!
Breaks are there for a reason and you should be able to be sorted really, and even if not its a total level playing field really.
Anyway, thats not really the point and I hope you guys can sort this out.
BTW Just having water machines or something near by would sound like a v good idea.
edit: who even drinks tap water? #nits #punishthenits #savepicken #plsrob

That is why. I'm pretty upset its come to this, I don't even want the glass of tap water without spending, so I'm purely fighting for a cause that isn't relevant to me. Unfortunately, Rob sees my custom as -ev, and he is entitled to that position, and whilst he hasn't confirmed anything concrete yet, looks like I'm saying hi guys in Nandos .I love DTD, I'd love nothing more than for the UK to have cardrooms like LA for example, and I've always wished DTD well, I haven't posted anything anywhere about the ISPT because of the other businesses involved, and if it was purely DTD then I'd be right behind them despite not being able to play. I have a vested interest in DTD doing well, and I do hope its possible for me to get involved in the big games there. One of my most fun sessions had Rob on the table, and I was having my biggest session ever before it all went pair shaped. I love everything about DTD and I felt like this was a mistake from them. Most people order tap water because they are coughing etc, barely anyone just orders one for fun so whilst i understand it is a pain in the arse for the valets etc, we do pay to play poker and that is what I want.
I don't see how my attendance levels are relevant, this isn't purely through choice, if I lived locally and was adequately rolled I would play every single deepstack/MC and things around. FWIW, I played both day 1s in January, and wanted to play the MC. I'm not a fan of moaning, and I understand DTD is a business, this just seemed a step too far to me. I will apologise in person to Rob if my tone upset him, that wasn't my intention in the slightest (also Matt, although we are probably friendly enough to duke it out in the car park...) This isn't what I wanted at all, I thought I was making a fair point, and I still believe I am, but it shouldn't have come anywhere near to this, so I have to hold my hands up. I'm not into criticising DTD, the company and brand are close to my heart, the first proper place I've played live, and despite not being able to book a win there in the last 10 sessions or so, I'll (hopefully) continue to punt around there. I wanted to dodge the public drama, but Rob is a busy man, and I'd be pissed in his position if he had to waste time on this, so I hope we can spend 30 seconds discussing this and then twenty mins having a joke and a pint.
TL:DR Sorry Rob, didn't mean to offend, I love DTD

Oh, I was only joking mate, do you really think I would bar someone for complaining about tap water? You young poker players, so serious!

GG me, not turning up at MC out of embarrassment now.

I think it's pretty poor form to try and get rob to become your personal valet!

Go to the fkin bar. It should be obvious I don't order anything from valets, I mean have you seen them. Outfits are far too distracting, can the rake not be spent on some clothing ffs?
In all seriousness, bottled water is bad for everyone, and you should avoid it.

Plenty of people will beplaying Day1a Online. Makes sense for many, especially if they live a long distance away
Anyway, overnight has seen this thread, which is meant to promote an important event, distracted somewhat...
In case people missed it in the midst of "TapWaterGate".....
Due to the absolutely INSANE success of this weekend we have decided to add more MEGA SATS next week with another 110 seats GTD

The tight arsery of poker players never ceases to amaze me, doubly so when as you say they are gambling for large amounts.

Finally after all these years I've worked out why online poker is so popular - playing at home you can have free tap water!!

Enjoyed all of this discussion of the valets leading to a Freudian "pair shaped" in one of the posts.

It must be a couple of pence per glass out of the tap, maybe they collect free rain water?

This always amuses me too and I have to admit I love a punt and readily winge when parting with a couple of quid for a drink in a casino yet think nothing of 'investing' many multiples of that when having a punt be it poker, gee gees or 32 red
Think Pleno came up with the option of water dispensers in the card room - might sort out us wingers and hydration freaks lol
