1946André René Roussimoff was born. Better known as André the Giant - he was 7' tall. Truly inconceivable.

As I United fan it was one of those jaw dropping moments where you really thought it was just a bad joke. One of the best ever players to play for United, and I suspect a reporters dream of a player. I was in a car park in Glastonbury at the time! Did like the story about the win bonus that all the team decided to raffle amongst them selves (winner take all) two of the young players at the time (Nicky Butt and Scholes I think) put theirs in despite it being a very significant sum for them at the time. Cantona won the draw and gave them half each for having the nerve to put it in.

On this day in 2003. Outwith the birth of my children, probably the greatest days(s) of my life.
Seville. UEFA Cup Final. We lost 3-2 to Jose Mouriniho's Porto.
But it probably didn't matter.
80-100k Celtic supporters travelled from all over the world, the majority of which didn't have tickets for the game, but just felt they had to be there.
Some incredible stories of how they got there, some going via 2 or 3 counties from the UK just to get to Spain.
I managed to get tickets from EBay for me and my mum and dad. They loved it. So glad we went.
