Erik Penser had a bunch of 'Compton' horses. Almost as many as Ming The Merciless has called 'Gabrials' something or other. I've always preferred weird, random names.
Weatherby's seem to let a lot more through these days though. Like 'King C nut' for example.

Got 41st in dtd £1100 for £2k mincash, didn't play great yesterday For whatever reason and was lucky to cash in the end. In retrospect was a huge grind For me having very limited sleep before each day. The structure was great but I'll never buy in On day 1 again while the day 2 average is only 30% bigger than the starting stack. Makes day 1 Pretty redundant to me.

Gl for day 2 @dtd
Thanks very enjoyable day. Tilt at windmills time 5.20 ede'es rider 66/1 Some promising little runs after missing the break on the polytrack Out of equino so the bad run on soft last time isn't surprising Wide draw here negative but low mark good 5lb claimer Can see him snatching a place late and fast worth a few bob Ew Only other bet I've had is harlequin striker 8/1 in the 4.20 a lot in this horses Favour today can see a good run coming. Both bets small stakes

Percy's not been on form recently but happy to report our little percy has. He's sleeping 8pm till 4am some nights and is very settled at the moment. Vick is not very well though mentally. She's got post natal depression (she had it after Fred) And has been very low recently. My job until she's better is to look after her and let her get rest And keep positive. Any advice on how else to help would be good.
Doubtful I'll be playing poker for the rest of the month so back to the horses we go.
Two I like today are
3.55 York the grand visir. Really liked the Melrose run last time being up with the pace when The other 6 of the top 7 were held up. The godolphin horse has to improve to win and our form is in the Book, had big bet 5/1 ew.
3.20 gullane one. Showed a lot of speed last time over 6, tiring in the final furlong on heavy ground Form of the maiden may be sketchy but back to 5 and better ground I can see a good run on the cards. Smaller ew bet at 18/1
Gl if your playing

Sorry to hear that Vick is suffering post natal depression. Me & mine were fortunate to not have to deal with that, so it's not from a position of first hand experience that I'd only make a couple of suggestions (apologies if these are too obv):
If it's at all feasible, try to get Vick & the kids out to the park, for a walk, just out of the home and in the fresh air. There's a lot of beauty in Mother Nature at this time of year, and I can only imagine that the depression is linked to a feeling of claustrophobia.
At least once a week, after we had our second child, we made a point of getting a baby-sitter for the older child whilst we went out for a meal and took the young one with us in their car seat. She'd always fall dead asleep in the car well before we got to the restaurant, and we'd bring her in and put her on a chair where we could keep an eye on her (still in the car seat ofc).

I'm chancing the Godolphin horse, think there is a lot of scope.
My York trixie is:
2.45 Highland Colori 3.55 Gold Star 4.30 Rasheeq

Don't wanna sound like a bad loser but sds had a brain fart Trying to lie up with that ludicrous pace and paid for it in the end, Star rock is def the one to take out of the race. Another York another graveyard Must stop betting there, always seem to be looking at the wrong things
