Chip Leader - Les Kerrigan - 40,000
Following closely (and maintaining that if he hadn't just lost a pot before the break, he'd be in front) - Thomas Wahlroos - 36,500

Ian Woodley has just doubled up

Flop = Two Diamonds

Woodley bets, MB calls.

Turn =

MB bets, Woodley makes it 6k, MB moves all-in, Woodley calls for his last 3k.

A-A vs 9-9

A blank on the River and Woodley is up to 25k.

Jonny 'Texas' Hewston disappeared a little ways before we made our breathless arrival - now Jon brings us some rather startling news: it appears that in Texas' final hand, he wasn't actually cleaned out of chips, but got up and walked off before seeing that he still had 1,000...that little stack has now been blinded off.

Stuart Fox is OUT

Mateygirl moved in for 6k with T-T. Foxy called with A-A. Ten on board.

Ivey then finished him off.

Meanwhile, Roland De Wolfe is up to around 35k after first suriving an all-in with the bare Ace on an all hearted flop, and then having his flopped straight (5-6s on a 9-8-7 board) paid off by Mateyboy's Pocket Ladies.

On a board of , Nick 'Gwibbo' Gibson check-raises Jan Sjavik's 4.5k raise all-in. Sjavik folds after a lenghty dwell.

He just can't sit still can he?  Literally moments earlier, he took on a button raiser from the big blind.  The flop came:  .  Nick checked, the button bet 1,300, and Nick raised to 3,500.  A bit of a think later, and the Button moved in on him.  Sitting with what I call 'statue arms' he waited to see if Gwibbo would call, and he took his time, getting the pot and raise separated and thinking about the extra 12,875 precisely to him.  After counting it out of his stack, he passed - BA Kildalen made a brave effort to get the re-raiser to show his hand, "for the cameras!" before they moved on.

JP News Now -

He's up to a moderate 14,000, but not going nuts at this stage, exhibiting a quiet solidity not usually attributed to him... despite the lack of recklessness, when he started raising every hand (albeit with AA then AA then AK) he only took down the raise in front of him each time, without coaxing anyone to gamble.  He says only two hands near the beginning of the comp are all players have seen, so he must be as much a mystery as the players on either side of him, who he admits are pretty tidy.  Photos coming...

Martin Wendt is OUT

A race with Ian Woodley.

5-5- vs A-Js

Ian hit a fush draw on the flop, but it was the Ace on the River that finished Martin off.

Fabrice Soulier is also OUT

Double up for JP!

I noticed he had a bigger stack (well double the size) as he got moved next to Ian Woodley - it turns out that the Tilter on his other table did in fact end up doubling him up - he found on the big blind, Tilter raised to 1,800, JP made it 5,600 and gave the guy the 'weak stare-down' - eventually he pushed in with his and the chips drifted JP-wards...
