I might just be getting old but 9.30pm seems a bit late for a start time.
12 levels at 30mins plus breaks would make for a 4.30am finish? OK for the end of an event but not when you are back for a Day 2.
6am bedtime (after driving home) isn't good for a family man.

The live day 1's start at 8pm Thu and Fri with late reg for 3 levels (90 mins) till 9.30pm, with 6 levels of re-entry (down to 50BB)
The online day 1a on Wed has 6 levels of late reg and re-entry (72 mins). Re-entry and late reg are the same on ipoker, although 60-70 mins of late reg is pretty standard online - a guy can still be delayed online as well as live through no fault of his own.
Day 2 £500 also have 3 levels of late reg reg (90 mins) but only 4 levels of re-entry (to 50bb)
This is in line with our strategy to reduce late reg and re-entry so that late reg is 'stuck in traffic /work and was late' and re-entry becomes 'got unlucky early on and want option of another shot'.
We expect to roll these reduced late reg and re-entry times out across all our comps over the coming weeks, getting the balance right between flexibility and overall experience.
Further details are covered on Nicola new events page format

What's the thinking behind reducing late reg and re-entry across all tournaments? I really enjoyed being able to reg in level 4/5 when the antes kick in and things get interesting
bigger prizepools, more people in the building for longer etc, can't see the downside?

Think Simon explain's it above, its not an option for those who don't enjoy playing the early levels to just turn up and play. Its for legit late reg reasons.
People will be in the building for longer if they reg on time?
To be honest the downside is it puts "non regs" off imo. Having people just turn up in level 5, Go crazy then re-enter because they have the roll to is not in the spirit of the game.

Hi just 1 concern, how come you can reg up to 6 levels online and only 3 levels live , thought it would have to be the same?
I decided late reg should be done on time, live you get 90 mins, online 72 mins.

Downside is liquidity is spread over too long a period, this is bad for several areas of the business and is ultimately unfair on the 90% of players that turn up within the first 3 levels.

Sorry if I'm being dumb but I don't really understand what any of that means.
Doesn't matter though, I'll still play

on line 8 handed ?
will there be sats to these
Yes satellites being announced asap. Get back to you on 8 handed
Re-entry on day 2 is for 3 levels only I think..and day 2 entries begin with 100k at 500-1000.
c25% expected to come back from the day ones
, plus day 2 initial entries so should still be a way off the 24 paid (on the sample payout)
The chips average carried through from day 1 at 25% (which is about right for 12 level) is 80k. How is this fair in comparison to the day 2 buy ins? Wouldn't it be much fairer playing the field down to 20% to level that chips average out with the day 2 buy ins?

I think less levels of re-entry and shorter late reg period will get more people on the cash tables sooner.

This might be a contributing factor - however the events page clearly states that starting chips for Big Game day 1's are 20k, as opposed to 30k chips for a deepstack, therefore it will be less that 25% making Day 2 - hopefully near as dammit 20%.

This sounds like a winner! BUT can everyone involved with decision making stick to an idea and run with it for a few months and give it time to bed in. Most people in general hate change - and there has been a lot of it in recent months!! just an observation..... no shot guns please!!

We try and do different comps each month to keep players interested. DTD is a 52 week card room doing £50K+every single weekend - a different model to the casino card rooms. Players do get bored - we don't change for the sake of it. Believe me - running the same event for 52 weeks would make my life easier!
