They were pretty much sold out before the prices were dropped though.

Down to £89 wasn't it?
I know people who were reserving loads of them on Sunday night in the hope the stores would honour the new prices when they were announced. Most of them couldn't find any places with stock by the time the announcement about the announcement was made on Monday. Apparently more stock will be released soon.

Yeah, basically the thing was a flop (had sold around 10% of units in US) and HP are getting out of the consumer space and have ceased all development etc, so it's a case of everything must go.
Good news is people are working on an Android port for it so it should be useful in future.
Thinking about it now I almost wish I'd snagged one.

Received my HP Touchpad last night, very impressed with the feel of it so far and in comparison to my ipad it actually feels better made. Not sure on performance yet but ok so far.

An android port isn't too far away now so not to fussed about apps at the moment.

I'm sat waiting for a courier to delivery some presents for my GF. I have just seen the van pull up outside my house, turn around and drive off.
Not sure pissed off accurately describes my feelings.
