yes apart from the race after i put up the suggestion it makes more financial sense usually to do the total opposite as 5x6 forecast sails in right on cue.

Great opening round by JB Holmes, wonderful... +5. Jeez
Does anyone know if he straight up shanked his second on 7? The graphics on PGA site looks that way.

I'm on Fowler, matsuyama, Horshell and Sergio to all win their groups, so good start!

Well we got good prices in the last. Highly Sprung started at 7/1 from 14/1.

well done lads, breathe out.
Love how people think these short priced ew bets are 'risky'. Always makes me chuckle.
glad it amuses you, lots of things make me chuckle too.

One of the most disgraceful SP returns on a live TV dog meeting ever tonight at Henlow. The track is a joke at the best of times but this really does take the piss on a RPGTV covered tv meeting with much bigger amounts traded on betfair in a highly liquid market than most bags markets in the day which routinely return 125%.
The track is only on the show because the sponsors love their piss taking sp returns for tricasts and forecasts. They are routinely much higher % wise than most bags races even though there is a much stronger bf market for them. I have never seen one return 159% esp where the liquidity is higher than most other meetings in the week
I just checked earlier races and one race returned 159.5 and 157%!
136, 143, 157!!!!!, 137, 137, 148, 149, 138, 146, 148, 159.5!!!!!!, 155%
These were the track returned sp's tonight across their 12 race card. I only checked the rest of the races because i couldn't believe the last race was so bad but two other races actually beat it. Why would anyone bet with a firm at this meeting when you can bet to a 100% book on betfair exchange for decent money. I don't think i have ever seen a bags card ever return a set of %'s this bad across a 12 race card. Henlow bookmakers should hang their head in shame when they have a liquid bf 100% market to follow. It really poses the question why anyone would ever bet with the firms on this meeting. If punters are this price insensitive why doesn't every bags track return sp's like this as well?
This will be copied and pasted on an email for RPGTV tomorrow night and i am looking forward to hearing their reply (ie they won't read out the email)
In contrast monmore's sp returns on the same tv channel tonight were as follows: 129, 122, 135, 129, 131, 126, 130, 129, 133, 132, 125, 137
If you ever needed a reason why Towcester have lost their BAGS contract (because they bet most races to 120% which isn't enough for the off course big firms) this is it. They use the excuse to take them off bags 'too many favs won'. blah blah blah. What a loads of bollocks. Coventry lost its RPGTV contract for the same reason. They used to bet to fair %'s to give punters a chance but the channel sponsors wanted the lot and demanded the horrid track that is Henlow with its SP returns how you have seen tonight.
In summary you should hardly ever bet with a firm full stop on dogs as 95% of the time you will be getting shafted (the other 5% of the time you bet one bigger you will get your account closed anyway in the long term). If you ever needed any more evidence why you should only ever bet dogs on betfair exchange this is it.

betting to 159% is the same as betting rolling a dice to 11/4 (under 3/1) each of 6 just to give the casual punter an idea of how much of a piss take these %'s are. ie you lay 4 dogs at 11/4 for £500 you are gtd a profit of £125 whatever happens if one of those 4 dogs wins and if the either of the other 2 dogs win you scoop the entire £2000 you have laid on the 4 dogs in question and pay out nothing. Nice life right?
Never EVER bet a dog at henlow outside of the betfair exchange unless you want to set fire to money.

Trading standards should take a look at this. I have only started looking at the greyhound racing over the last few weeks and often the liquidity is really poor. Is it a case of checking in ten minutes or so before the off as this is when the liquidity improves as the shows open? I may have been looking at Generally poor races which may well be why the markets were so poor in the first place. I noticed a 200/1 shot won, can't say I have ever witnessed a price so big on the bags.

Morning
I quite fancy Azraff in the 3.10. Young, and a low draw. Right on bf, so expect the 10/1 to go. 365 are 5 places for those that can. Suggest you take 25 e/w with me to get the 5 places and 10/1. I would go higher, just not with me.
The other is more punty. Outlaw country hasn't run since 2, when it was promising. This seems a strange race for a gentle introduction. Feels like they must like it. It has a draw in the middle which isn't terrible. Suggest 25 e/w at the general 33/1.

the 17.30 is down to 16 already and the 16.20 ison 17, so think we should leave those for now.
365 are the best on the
3.45,
but fred is also quarter first 4, albeit on worse prices (shy are fifth first 5 which is much the same).
I have backed Jungle Cat at 18/1. Back to 5f is a positive, but the draw isn't great.
Suggest thread takes £25 e/w at 16/1 with baldfred.
I have also backed Pearl Secret at 40/1. Really punty as it is getting old, and probably isn't at his best anymore, but has the number 1 box. And he is 40/1 whcih means I can forgive a bit more. (33/1 quarter 4 places is better than 40/1, ffth first 3 with Hills)
Suggest thread takes £15 e/w with me on Pearl Secret at 40/1 (e/w first 4)
of the other races, I just backed Emotionless with Hills to get their offer, but I really like Thikriyaat too (hills weren't top price, which was the decider). No skill to pick those two out, and I just gave the first a miss.
