Ferrari, Renault and Red Bull protested the Brawn,Toyota and Williams, the protest was rejected by the stewards.

The teams have confirmed they will appeal against the stewards' decision, which will force the matter to go to a hearing of the FIA's International Court of Appeal.

Such a meeting cannot take place until after the Malaysian Grand Prix, meaning that Brawn GP, Williams and Toyota will be racing under appeal at this weekend's race in Australia and would likely be subject to another appeal at Sepang.

Great start to a new season.

All aboard the Jenson bandwagon!

Chuffed for him and hopefully the other teams appeals aren't successful and he has a shot at the title this year.

[ ] Ship the 11/4 on Kubica to finish on the podium

What was the appeal for?  None of the news reports are mentioning it?  Who was relegated for Hamilton to move up?

Hmmm, Vettel gets a 10 place grid penalty in the next race for the contact with Kubica,Barrichello gets no penalty for mistakenly thinking he is driving a stock car.

Trulli went off the track during the pace car period, was passed by Hamilton, and then went back past again, surely just put him back behind Hamilton not take him out the points completely.

Appealed the stewards decision on Thursday that Brawn, Toyota and other cars were legal. Something on them other teams think are illegal. Won't change the result of this race but it might slow his car down if he's made to change it later.

nah, good decision by the stewards imo (for a change)

trulli was 4th, knew the pace car was out and still tried to sneak up a place. if the only penalty is to put him back in 4th people will be trying to overtake all the time under the pace car safe in the knowledge that the only punishment will be to put them back where they just came from, there's no incentive to stick to the rules
