Nugget want to cease play for the day and return at noon tomorrow.

The problem there is that most of us - but not all of us - want to play the WSOP $1,500 PLO8 which commences at noon.

Bit of a bummer, that.

Play is due to re-commence here at noon, too.

Should have put it on the cardroom staff, and said you wanted to start at 9, so you could get it done in time for the WSOP event.

Mate of mine is on the final with you, and he's playing the $1500, too.

We asked if we could start early, but one (local) guy refused, as he is working this morning.

Who is your mate? Two Brits on the Final, a Scottish lad, & a southerner who is in Vegas every year, quite a well-heeled guy I think. He hit 5 Flushes in a row towards the end of play to go chip leader, or nearly so.

If he is Scottish, and he is playing PL08 downtown, I suspect his name is Paul. A financial adviser/banking type, last I heard!

He approached me yesterday, I was not quite sure who he was, but he seemed to know me, & he said he usually comes with a whole bunch of lads, but he is solo this year. Seemed a decent bloke to me. He's got chips, too, but we never shared tables all day until we made the final. (Yes, yes, thin).

He plays lots of 08 when he's over, so has probably played the same comps as you before.

There are usually a bunch of us that head out the weekend just gone, and then stay for varying times. This year is the first time I've not gone since 2007, and a few of the other lads who have been the last few years are skipping it, too.

He said he is nicely chipped up, so hopefully you can decimate them between yourselves in double quick time.
