So, the Camel family decided to visit a few relations and go to Dubai for a week. The viist was cunningly timed by me to coincide with the second biggest horse race meeting of the year at Nad Al Sheeba. Dave Compton is the presenter of the racing from Dubai on Sky, and although I had never met Compo, but as I knew he was mates with tikay and posted quite a bit on here, I took the liberty of pming him a few questions.. such as are kids allowed to go racing, what was the dress code, did he know where to pick up taxis etc etc. He researched the answers to my questions fully and came back with complete answers, and then staggered me by offering to get us some tickets to the meeting. And not just any old tickets.. Grandstand tickets, with full hospilitality (when the camel gets stuck into a free buffet and bar...they usually take a hammering) and fantastic reserved seats really close to the winning line. To do all this, for someone you've never met was amazing. As Compo was working in the parade ring I only got the chance to snatch a few words with him.. by I'd like to take the opportunity now to thank him very much for the fantastic evening we had and to hope to take him out to dinner if he's out in Vegas for the wsop this year. Dave Compton: top bloke! [/quote What do I say to that? and the rest of the kind comments? Apart from the fact they're obviously all true!! Hope you and the family had a good night Keith and sorry we couldn't chat for longer due to the fact that, yes, i do have to work ocassionally. Asking Compo questions on what to wear? Is this wise?
If ever i need a stripey jumper........

aint got a clue, but v interested to learn. i play superstud.........
How true. You have to jam pre-4th here then slow down as your showing 8 low at best. you need runner runner to scoop if youre lucky. if you call one more bet youre in the for the long haul. Also if you bet youre starting to price any low draw in as they know you have 8 low at best (currently). suck it up and fold to any bet.

Lol Matt, thanks, how on earth did you know that was one of my all-time faves? Happy memories of my MTV & Kerrang! days. Don't ya know I'm trying to get loco.......Insane in da membrane, Insane in da brain.......So who knows what spectacularly memorable track this comes from? These lyrics have a touch of Alex Martin & poker lingo, but poker got there way too late. Yo, I'll bust em in the eye And then I'll take the punks home Feel it, funk it Amps it are junkingThen there's the daddy of all these mood-changing songs, which starts with this line...... Dah pretty ladies around the world Got a weird thing to show you, ...which comes from what must be one of the most covered tracks ever. Jeez, I miss Music TV, I'm almost tempted to retire & just cruise the streets of Brighton FYP
