Steve Jelinek is the current chip leader with 22k.

His latest scoop being Q-9 vs J-T on a 6-8-T-J board.

Roberto Romanello is OUT.

Raised with K-J to 600 before calling all-in for his last 3.6k.

Up against Aces, he received no help.

Dave Mayall is up to 10k after busting Aces twice.

First vs Mick Fletcher (A-A) and Nick Slade (7-7) with 2-2 on a 2-4-6 Flop and then vs Simon Zach (A-A) with J-J on a K-K-x-J board.

Steve Walmsley doubled up during the first level with 2-4 on a 2-4-T Flop.

He then took another nice pot with on an all club flop.

As a result, he is now on over 20k.

Meanwhile, Julian Thew has flopped a straight and then quads (with Aces). He is on around 10.5k.

Ali Mallu is OUT, so not Malluing today.

The first lot went to Martyn Cavanagh when Ali raised it up with the speculative hand of J-5. The flop came 5-5-3, but the Welsh lad was sitting pretty with Pocket Threes.

Finally, Ali Mallu exited the comp when he grew too attached to a flush draw. Mark Lowe (A-K) raised it up and received three callers, two of whom were Sid Harris (Ad-9d) and Ali (5d-2d). Flop came Kd-Jd-Qc, Sid bet, Alli called, Mark re-raised and both players called. All the money then went in on the raggy Turn, but Ali was drawing dead.

Just having a quick glance around the arena, the following seem to be doing very nicely indeed.

Zippy Aslam -- 12,000 (+ticket)
JP Kelly -- 24k (-ticket)
Ash Pervais -- 20k (+ticket)
Stu Rutter -- 27k (-ticket)
Julian Thew -- 21k (+ticket)

Julian Thew destroyed Ian Herbert when he flopped yet another monster, this time a full house with 5-3 on a Flop of 5-3-3. Of course, the Welshman only had A-3 and was virtually obliterated.

Soon after, Herbert shoved his remaining few thousand in with Q-Q, but was outdrawn by A-Q - Ace on Flop.

The blinds are currently at 50-100, and are due to rise to 100/200 in 8 minutes. There is no 75/150 level, but I guess that is to be expected when you can start with 13k in chips.

According to the board, there are 131 players remaining with an average stack of 13,600/

The total prize pool is 137,000, which will make first place somewhere around the 50-55k mark.

Players that are definitely out though are:

Mazhar Nawab
Grant Mercado
Ali Mallu
Ian Herbert
Roberto Ramanello
Siney Harris

Fari Badiemansour and Mick Fletcher exited just moments ago.

Mick lost out to Nick Slade, who flopped quad sixes.

Chip leader Chris Gavriel has just doubled up Thomas Raymond.

Thomas had A-6 against Chris's T-T on an 9-6-6 Flop. No Ten arrived and Chris has taken a small dent

It's amazing how quickly the tide can turn. During the break, Mickey was commenting that he'd had absolutely nothing to go on, but just like that he trebles up and is now on 15k.

Paul King and Bambos were his opponents, the former Turning a straight, but it wasn't good enough as The Legend hit a flush on the River.

Jamie Fisher is OUT.

T-5 vs T-Q on a T-T-x Flop.

Meanwhile, Ryan Fronda has doubled up courtesy of Eamon O'Neil. A-Q vs K-J of clubs on an Ace high Flop (2 clubs).

Chris Huyton has also doubled up, this time to 20k. A raising war with Simon Zach, the two ultimately revealing Aces v Kings.

Philip Green doubles up: I raced over just in time to see a board of A-A-x-x-3 with Phillip Green's A-3 rivering Stephen Lovatt's A-Q for a decent pot that kept Green in the comp.

So is Niamh Peters. She made a move on Koresh with K-Q, but unfortunately although Koresh passed like lightning, someone was sitting pretty with Queens.
