£450 for the best ticket for 10,000M seems ridiculously toppy.
I thought the Olympics was meant to be accessable for all, even £50 for the cheapest seat is far too expensive imo.
It's the same session that has the last event for the Heptathlon as well - and I imagine there'll be a clamour for people to get tickets for that.
Be worth watching if Carolina Kluft competes..
...and Ennis.

As I think I said before, half the athletics tickets will be for the morning sessions which are just qualifying with no medals given out. There's no way they sell 80,000 tickets for this every day - if they don't allow pay on the gate for these there'll be huge expanses of empty seats.
Have they said they aren't planning on allowing pay on the gate?

Actually, what may happen is they'll sell the tickets for the mornings in this thing they're doing now, people will have the £20 taken out (assuming the Band E tickets they're buying will be for finals and that), then once they discover the tickets are for Wednesday monring's shot put qualifying they'll just not bother turning up.
So the seats will still be empty, but they'll have been paid for.
The Olympics guys are actually being quite shrewd in getting these things flogged.

They need to say that so that people panic buy now.

It's pretty annoying they aren't giving an indication of how many applications have been made for each event.
Trying to plan a schedule is difficult, might be successful for 5 events one day and none the next.

They've published what each session contains, and the one's with medal events are clearly marked. Just how stupid would the general public have to be ...... oh, I see, never mind.

Ah ok, thanks.
I just like the opportunity to throw a virtual punch at that smug git Seb Coe.

Submitted my ticket requests for two athletics sessions.
[ ] They won't be ridiculously over-subscribed
[X] I'll end up with the seats in the car-park or
[X] I'll end up not getting any tickets

Going to try for a few. Wish list at the moment is
Opening ceremony (fat chance but what the heck)
Hockey
Athletics
Football final
BMX
Basketball
Trouble with the athletics, do you go for events you want to see or go for ones you are more likely to get but not really interested in, or both and end up spending too much.
Think I will just go for it and if I end up with too many, give ones I don't want as Christmas presents.

You do know that the person who buys the tickets has to be there don't you?
I've gone for 8 sessions, most of them are just for the 'Olympic experience' there's only 2 I particularly want to get.
