any ideas?
am i stuck to making my own ? :>
also where would the best place be to try and get proper chips and not cheapo plastic ones? casino / cardroom ?

I think many people got stuff from ebay but if you find one you like, check here first as there was a grimmer operating iirc.

I got table from an ebay trader called fullhousetrading. They do chips as well - good quality composite ones from what I can see - not clay, but probably as close as you're going to get without paying £400. I paid about £30 for an 8 seat tabletop with bumpers and drinks wells, which are very handy. Done about 10 home games now, and still in pretty good nick.

I bought a table from Full House Trading. Not a happy experience. They sent me the wrong colour and the table (a Weber) is crap - it has no structural integrity whatsoever. The cloth is nice, but the rest is cheap MDF that is already starting to crack.
Hope that helps.

I made my own and it wasnt too bad an experience. Probably took an afternoon to complete.
The plus side is that it is easier to change the felt when you need to.

Build a table.. I did.. Took just a Saturday... There is a brill website where people have made their own tables and taken loads of photos to show others how to make theirs... I copied the table called "Junell's Table" at this link ....
http://www.homepokertourney.com/tables_build.htm
... dead easy if you have half a capability of DIY... and... Same site reviews everything you need to play poker at home.. Cards, Chips, Timers etc..
Cheers
Carl..

I got two tables and lots of stuff over the years from fullhouse trading and had no problems so far
everything you need to build the table is on eBay
one thing i would recommend is a automatic shuffler we just fitted one on our table and you get loads more hands in, bit pricey but worth every Pennie
