glgl. If Valverde was riding for himself I'd be keen, but he didn't show up on the Mur De Huy and it's a bit complicated with Quintana being designated leader. Surely too steep for Sagan? Given Rodriguez's ride on stage 3 10/1 isn't the worst price going IMO

hmmm what do peeps think Sky are planning today with 25k to go.
Thought they been good so far this tour only taking the front to stay out of trouble.
Don't see why they so keep to chase down this break. Would rather they conserve and let other teams burn energy fronting the peleton!!

Froome has a shot at the stage today based on his legs up the Mur De Huy. With the time bonuses available if they think he's got the best form out of the big 4 then they should close the break down. Some obligation with being in yellow that they have to do some work on the front also.

With TTT tomorrow and Froome likely to be out-kicked by classics specialists like Rodriquez and Martin, i'd be chilling just behind Cannondale-Garmin mind.

Extremely strong riding from Thomas today for Froome, proving he is a special rider. Will be interesting to see him take on team leadership at next year's Giro. Judging by his ride here and in tour de suisse he'll be in the mix.

A bit of life in the GC contest today, they didn't make any time but decent intent from Contador, Quintana and Nibali. van Garderen looks like he's waiting for everyone to tire and have a pop in the Alps. Think Movistar and Tinkoff will need to put the squeeze on earlier on the next high mountains stage, attempt to get Froome isolated and without Thomas to chaperone him over the final climb.

unfortunately work commitments keeps me busy, barely able to keep up on the tour. Ironically will be in Paris next week, but back to the UK on Friday!

Highlights of the week, J Rod's win on Plateau de Beille.

Geraint Thomas, what a boss.

Jean-Christophe PĂ©raud

don't get tougher than him

So tilting the pettiness yesterday from bardet and pinot cost them both the stage win. Had both them and uran to win stage and when yates broke was already counting the money.

Peter Sagan proved yesterday just how incredible he is. Was absolutely gutted for him not to get his stage win, to return with that yesterday was simply amazing.

Chris Froome says he was hit in the face by someone's cup of urine.

Does this happen to people who have actually been found to have doped? The Alps must stink from all that wee over the years.

Think cavendish complained of this happening to him a few years back? Is it a doper thing or just a rider/team they dont like. Cant really stand watching sections where morons are in the faces of riders, if you have any respect for them dont get in their way.

Contador seems really popular for someone whos a known cheat.

The fact it's urine suggests it is a doping thing, especially given all the news the last week about the hacking and the rumours about Froome's performances.

People throwing urine at Glastonbury is more of a convenience thing.

Thought it might just be the untraceable element, people throw water over all the riders to help them. Only after would you realise it was piss (and worse a frenchmans piss), wouldnt be to get away with it if it was  something else. Suppose its better that it is doping associated or maybe someone will up the stakes with a steaming turd.
