I'm not even a Leeds fan but please don't give them a rubdown until the league starts.
I bet Newcastle were still reeling after the friendly defeat to Leyton Orient last pre-season when they were lifting the league title.

Well remembered, yeah I remember thinking we where doomed after that game lol.GLGL Leeds this season, run good

Yes it wasnt good. But i thought we would finish mid table before the game and i still do.

No ones expecting miracles after losing our star striker and not replacing him with someone of similar calibre.

I forgot about that Newcastle v Orient game Josedinho, ty for some re-assurance.

The only thing I look for in friendlys  is that we dont get injured players from it, rest means zilch.

Just watched the 4-0 extended highlights, don't feel as bad now.

- Grella played well
- Becchio was pretty quiet
- Aidy White played well when he came on
- Somma looks good from all the friendlies, shame the clowns banned for the 1st 3 games
- We really need to sort our defense, This new fella Bessone doesnt look the greatest

Hopefully some of these Brazillian trialists that we have will look good in training this week and get a game Vs the monkey hangers this weekend

Good result for us today. (5-0)

Played 4-5-1 as we only have two strikers fit/not banned for the start of the season

Paynter injured is shin in slovakia and will be out for about 6-8 weeks, hopefully uncle Ken will sell one of his choppers from his fleet and buy us a direct replacement for Beckford.

Beckford came on at for everton today and scored a brace FOLs

Alex Bruce from Ipswich apparently for an undisclosed fee. Not seen him that much, but think hes a fairly solid championship player and can play CB and CM, so cant be too bad of a signing.

Really wish we'd have considered more seriously signing Schmeichel as back-up to Cech.

http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20100527/kasper-becomes-first-summer-recruit_2247585_2060450

Could be a really really good signing, from what iv seen of him hes been fantastic for Notts County and the little we saw of him at City.

 thumbs up

More of the same plz Simon.

Yeh i think thats a good signing. I didn't think he looked too bad in the premiership and has probably come on alot this year.

i disagree so him twice last season and was not as good as i thought, then again what do i know!!

been absolutely outstanding today, kept it from being 5-1 or sumat ridic to Derby.

gg Rhodesy Wink

Saying that, we have hit bar twice and had 1 cleared off the line, so fairly even.

Been so bad defending, think its more about the midfield tracking back tbh, and no1s sitting in to clear it up when they break forward.

Bessone has looked pretty clueless in defence too.

Get a late goal plzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
