Stunning speech from Cameron, seizing the moment.

Of course, what he has laid out just happens to favour the Conservatives, but still a significant occasion.

English nationalism, greater devolution by region possibly, is a train that has left the station.

Not sure it will happen for 2015 but the pressure for the 60+ Scottish MPs to not be able to vote on English matters is going to be the next biggie

As an aside

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-29264151

...Each ballot paper has an individual number attached to it, so officials will now have to sort through the ballots and attempt to find these 10 papers.

They will then be removed...

This means that the ballot is not actually secret any more, which of course doesn't matter as we are in a free society....

Pretty standard after an election to have a "marked" electoral register so you can see "who" voted but not "how" they voted.

Lord Ashcroft @LordAshcroft

Overnight I have polled 2,047 voters in the Scottish referendum. Results...

YES voters most motivated by anti-Westminster feeling and the NHS; NO voters by the currency and pensions:

No you've missed the point - Mrs McTavish went along to the polling booth to see her name scored off with a number beside it.  She said that she hadn't voted, so they gave her a new ballot paper and removed the one with the appropriate number from the count (and obviously can tell who the fraudster voted for by looking at it).  So if this is done in another election, "they" can directly trace who voted what, should they wish to, for instance for an extremist party.
