The night after the Middy party, we decided to have a quiet one. I busted out the comp, AK v JJ and went and sat by the pool for an hour.
Went back and got changed, and played a satelite while waiting for the others for dinner. Claypole was at the Rio chip dumping to Esfandiari, and text me to see if brummieboy was around for dinner, as he was on his own. Text Paul, who was out shopping, but said he would contact me one he is done. It was about 6ish now, and I was starving, so I text brummie to see where he was. 'just got into the Venetian, looking for a cheap suitcase' which made me chuckle, considering he had won $120k the day before
By now, Claypole had finished dumping all his chips off to Esfandiari, and joined us for dinner at the Lux in the Palazzo, with Paul and donks. After dinner, we headed back to the Venetian. Gavin has busted out now, and joined us. Claypole, not content with introducing them to Pai Gow, now decided to introduce them to craps. Brummie had paid donks his 1% ($1200) and had now found himself in the hole for $900
, he clawed it back and ended up with a small loss I think. But the damage was done, and now Craps was the game that would take over the rest of the holiday.
A short while later, Alex, Marky147 & Dan Owston arrived, and Alex degenned a bit on roulette & craps for a nice profit. He said let's go for bowling or a game of pool. I voted pool, as it's less engergy consuming, and Alex mentioned a pool club to one of the croupiers, and he said it was a good place, so off we headed..

We get to the Taxi rank, and Alex suggests a limo. Why not? Arrive in style etc, after all, we are in Vegas.
We all jumped in the Limo, and headed here.

The picture above, makes it look far more glam than it was. It seemed to be in the middle of an industrial estate, surrounded by dodgy establishments, which had some very suspect characters outside them. 7 guys turning up in a limo, sure didn't look out of place.
We got inside, and it was quite quiet, a few tables were in use, occupied by peurto rican looking gangsters. Sir donks took his comedy bling watch off, as he was scared lol. I told him not to worry, If they were gonna nick anything, they would nick something of value
Schooled Alex first ($10) then Marky, refused to play him for cash, as I have read on blonde he was quite handy, crushed him 2-0. Then played sir donks, he was terrible, and he beat me 2-1, I wasn't really trying though, it's that old saying, you play to the level of your opponent. He seemed quited pleased though, in between constant MSN sessions to his burd.
I think I then became the first person to lose to Dan too, so thought giving up for the night, was prob the best option. We finished our drinks, and rang the limo to come and pick us up again. They headed off to the IP for karaoke, and me, dean & gav went back to the palazzo. Dean restored his watch back to his wrist, now he was back in his comfort zone, and headed off to craps I think, meanwhile I headed off to cash, and grinded a short stack up to $600, then got it all in on a 854 flop, with 85, and losing to 10 10
Nae mind, It was still a good night.

The night before, the last night. Gav was still in the deepstack, so I decided to punish him for being in so long.
I came up with the genius idea of ransacking the room, emptying the safe, and removing some valuable items fromt the room, and hiding them in the suitcase.
Me and donks headed off downstairs for dinner, and text him to say, we are eating, then heading to the Aria.
Gav somehow made the dinner break, and invited jonnyplums up to the room for a quick chinese. Rumour has it, jonnyplums was very disappointed when Gav actually stopped at Noodle Asia, as that's not what he thought he meant
Upon entering the room, they were both greeted with this view.

Gav then phoned me twice, but I couldn't answer, for laughing, so he rang Dean. Dean brought his phone over, saying it was Gav on the phone, and we had been robbed. I took the phone off him, and prepared myself, to try not and laugh, but all i could hear was Gav on the other line to security, telling them our room had been broken into. I hung up, laughing.
Dean then phoned him back, before it got to serious, and Gav sent me a lovely text, which I can't really repeat here, but you can imagine.

I had been staked for most of the comps I played in Vegas, and so far, hadn't cashed, except for $460 at caesers. I always feel disappointed when I don't cash on a stake, though I do know, that stakers understand, over 7 or 8 comps in big fields, a cash is more unlikely, than unlikely.
So I went into the 6 max at caesers, determined that this would be the comp, I get a decent cash. 338 runners were soon whittled down to 150, but I had just been moved to the most ridic hard table I played on in Vegas, 1 complete donk, who thought it was fine to peel for half his stack, and four young internet kids, I disposed of the donk, who peeled 6k from a 11k stack with J8hh, and we got it in on a Q52hhh board v my AQ with Ah, and moaned about unlucky he was.
I then hit a ridic heater, and went from 17k at 600-1200 to 130k in about 10 mins, knocking out all four of the internet kids
the table then broke, and I got moved to the right of the chip leader, who was raising every hand, a strategy that seemed to work well for him. I decided to trap him with a pair of 9's, and we got it all in on a 7 high flop, v his 1010. Oops. No prob though, I knew a 9 was gonna come sailing in on the river
Just before we broke for 18, I got involved in a pot with the new chip leader, calling a raise with AJss, we checked the Axx flop, I called a bet on the turn. A on the river and he fired out a half pot bet, so I stuck the lot in. He sigh called with A 10
ez game.
18 left, i had about 475k at 6k/12k, people were dropping very quickly, and soon we went to the final, 7 handed, and I was the short stack.
None of the other players seemed to realise, that I was quite short, and just seemed determined to help me ladder, which was very nice of them. By now, I had my own mini rail of claypole, donks, pizzled and jonnyplums. We were four handed, and I just kept getting it in bad, and winning. My favourite was shoving K2 from the button, getting called by A6. The board came 6 3 5 A. Claypole was screaming, FOUR FOUR FOUR FOUR FOUR. And it in it came. claypole went skipping off while the sb sat there looking at the sky, It was about the twentieth attempt to knock me out while we were four handed, and it seemed he had just about givien up.
Eventually though, I made the mistake of getting it in, in front, and shoved K4 from the sb, and the aforementioned guy, made a frustrated call with 10 6, and got there. Was fine though, I had more than overstayed my welcome, and had done well to get that far. Was disappointed not to win it, just need one more double up at the right time, and I would have had been in a much stronger position.

So, the boys wanted to have one last craps spin up, and the took my lucky % I had just given them, and spun it up into a nice win. I never played craps once, but loved the banter it creates. We left caesers and I treated Gav & donks to a slap up brekkie at McDonalds on the strip. Doubt life has been so good recently, as that point
We headed back to the hotel, done a bit of packing, then went for a kip at the pool. Dean and Gav went shopping (again) and I finished packing, and got the cases taken down.
I met Gav for lunch, whilst donks continued his shopping, and we had a farewell Noodle Asia, we then waited for donks, with a game of Casino War, and I quickly won $100, and decided to hit n run. I then treated me and Gav to a limo to the airport, as we had got bored waiting for donks, who had now spent 85% of his time in Vegas, shopping. He musta done $300 in cabs, looking for cheap shops, Total saving -$250. wp.
On the way to the airport, we discussed getting an upgrade, Tikay had mentioned it was about $200-$250, so we thought, why not? All the way in the queue, we were saying, def not paying more than $250, maybe $300, but that is a def max. I enquired and she said $488, we both snap said yes ok, upgrade us please! Donks had just arrived, shame he missed the free limo really, and I offered the girl some $$$ to NOT allow donks upstairs, but she blew it. Was def worth the extra money, I managed to sleep 8 hours on the way back, as did Gav. Was def a nice way, to end the greatest trip I have ever had to Vegas.
Pizzled was a great holiday companion, and took all the abuse thrown his way, in the spirit it was intended, even sir donks was fun, when he wasn't eating & talking at the same time, which is fkin disgusting, and I told him so. Politely, off course.
Some new friendships made too, which is always good. Hopefully will return there soon, and have an even better time next time, if that is possible.

That reminds me, I didn't do a downtown report!!
Played the $165 at Binions. WOW! I think I may have went to downtown, about 15 years ago, but I don't really remember, so really, this was my first trip there. What a difference to the strip. So much more 'me' I find the strip, a bit tiresome, full of pretentious people, ceratinly not my style. Now, downtown, what a place!
Had lunch in the little cafe there, sandwich crammed with pistrami, $7 or something, whole lunch for 3 was $28 with drinks etc. Similar at the Venetian, $70 at least. The people that work downtown are real people, same as the people who play there. Mostly American, there on Holiday, only normally play home games, but are here for the big games at Binions. I played terribly in the comp, making two pair on the river, and getting it in v a flopped set, wp me. But I had a great time there. Played 1/2, and had no respect for the other players, and quickly done $450. That taught me. Borrowed $200 off sir donks, and went back with some respect, and ground it up to $850, to get out of it.
Anti railed the boys playing craps for an hour or so, and watched the light show, in Fremont Street. Very impressive. Can't really say too much more about it unfortunately, as I was only there for a few hours. But will def spend more time there, If I make it back to Vegas.
