Got the letter this morning confirmng that I'm being made voluntarily redundant.  So in a couple of months I'll be trying to make a living entirely from poker.

In my head I know it's the right decision I've made - I could have comfortably lived off poker for the last 3 years and have a 6 figure bankroll, but I'm still feeling uneasy about it and a bit sad to be leaving work colleagues and friends behind.

Yes, all the best.

I think I miss work colleagues and the cut and thrust "office banter" more than I miss the steady income.
I'd say it's ok to be a sad, but make sure you perk up before you hit the tables proper.

Good luck, doubleup.  Having played against you, I know you'll do very well.  You're a good man who deserves every success when you're not playing me. Wink

Hope to bump into you on an airport bus against soon  Cheesy

Hehe,

Doubleup, enjoy the freedom. Have a little break before you jump headlong into full-time playing. It'll help you to realise why you've left.

Tnks all - good advice about a break as well - really thats what it's all about, playing a lot of poker and working = no life, so one or the other had to go.
