Just been sent a confirmation of my seat and a list of FAQs (let me know if you want me to forward this to you).  They mention that you need a "Total Reward" card to play.  I presume this is their loyalty card and you can get one at the Rio.  Also don't forget you will need your passport to register for the tourney - it would be cr*p to have to queue up twice.  Gl, gl, gl.

Total reward card for joining the casino - i.e. just make sure you've joined the casino in advance of needing to register

I haven't seen any evidence anywhere to contradict that Harrah's will do anything different with the forms to what they did 3 years ago - that is they will take you through the whole thing and do all the work for you - you just need to read and sign and date what they tell you to. i.e. not something to worry about

Total reward card is the loyalty card for all of Harrah's casino's as Bally's is part of that chain you should be able to pick one up there when you check in to save any queue at the Rio.

Tax form can wait till you bink and the cashier will do all the work for you at the Rio but expect to hang around for about 3/4 hour as Americans love paperwork. I don't think they understand why they are filling in like a million forms but boy do they tackle it with a bloody passion.

Blatant 'I won in Vegas' post imo.

I may use this as a Q&A too actually.

Can i take my laptop out there- will it work with an adaptor or do I have to purchase one out there?

Sorry if this sounds like a Paul Ho post

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this already, but the Venetian has free wi-fi in it's public areas.  Quite handy to know if you spend any time in their card room!

Depends on how much a nit you want to be but if you take a taxi from or to the airport. Tell the taxi driver to not take you on the interstate, as they do you for an extra $15 this way. Alternatively the pure nit way to do is to take an airport shuttle which take 2/3 times as long but is $12 round trip as opposed to $40/50.

No, the airport shuttle is only the 'semi pro nit' way

Taking a bus is the 'pro nit' way

walking is pure nit ldo
