Too late now obviously, but for the future: by far the best way to get paid out is a direct bank transfer from the casino to your bank.
Less than 1% over spot rate + no worries about carrying a huge amount of cash around with you.
The cash desk will sort it for you, all you need is your SWIFT number which your bank will give you.

Rates vary bank to bank and you're bloody lucky to only swallow 1% IMO but agreed normally is better conversion than cash, but at least this way flushy gets a few bob which is good for everyone

If you go to your bank and tell them how much currency you have got and how you got the funds you will be able to negoiate a fair rate. 4% is fine and fair enough for a few hundred quids worth. For nearly 100 grand you should never pay more than 2%

Set up Euro account, get funds wired there, use service like FXGlobalTransfer (Oanda)-> less than 0.5% vig. Lloyds and Barclays both do foreign currency accounts for no fee.

Rate at time of xfer was 1.2245 pretty sure we did 1.27xx not sure what exactly. Obviously to anyone the best way is a wire xfer again if anyone gets in this spot can always ask us for a rate if we can't do better than your bank then you've lost nothing.

Went next door to Thomas Cook and changed the lot

1.272 was rate on 1.2245 spot. Admittedly this is not as good as we have done in the past but it was mainly down to the fact that the wholesalers are weary of the euro volatility so don't want to hold lots of cash, especially €500 notes. It also involved picking up from Plymouth.
Lil Dave and James Mitchell have both used our services for US $ again involving pickups from home and got exceptionally good rates. Sorry we couldn't get any better but prices are driven by forces out of our control.
As I said you can always get a no obligation quote from us but remember wire xfers are going to beat cash transfers when you are talking large amounts.

flushy is telling complete truth. barclays were funny about them being in 500euro notes. apparently its the biggest form of fraudulent note in the world! flushy and his partner were professional and quick. I rcvd the money within 48 hours, and 1.278 rate or whatever was BETTER than that offerd by barclays (1.31)
would reccomend and defo use again!

Can confirm, I got a decent chunk of $'s changed in cash sorted 1 week after I got back to the uk, I think I lost something like 1.5% off the spot rate with no exchange fee's and considering it was delivered t my door (in a lol sainsburys bag!) I was really delighted with the service. Another thing to remember about flushy's service is you can 100% trust it, I don't know about anyone else but when dealing with 5-6figure sums (speshly in cash) I would happily sacrifice a SMALL vig to have it handled by someone I can trust, and with recourse - as in if something goes wrong or I'm not happy about something I can ring flushy up and speak to him. This is defo worth something. Never one to disagree with the Camel, but you must be super careful wiring foreign cage -> your UK bank as different banks have different charges for different situations, for example I was trying to wire money from vegas -> UK and i'd have ended up losing near on 5.5% after the budget bank EX rate, and the fee's. I've set up an account with L-TSB where it holds £/$/euro, no fee's except a very small admin fee for oversea's transaction (£4 or something) and it has debit cards for each so makes moving money around everywhere easier. I think dealing bank-->bank with this stuff is the best way to get closer to the spot.
