You can practice your Russian on the many players over for WSOP surely.
Find a rack for pull ups / chin ups, skinny/light guys have a massive advantage in these

I've arrived.
Not much to say but desperately trying to stay awake (930pm local time) so I can get on a normal sleeping pattern asap.
Dinner at Allegre (Wynn) with Mitch, his wife and her brother was alright, nothing special.
The Empire in London provide what looked to be an excellent wire service to the Rio, at spot rate. Went down there today to reg for tomorrows event - no money. I'm sure it'll be sorted tomorrow though.
Tomorrows event is actually the 2nd largest event of the summer. $5k 8-max. Pretty excited about it, but getting a good nights sleep tonight will be important - I never find it easy to adjust quickly. I'll wake up in 4 hours time and 1am and be wide awake.
I really want to do well in this tournament because I've sold for it on blonde and on fb, and historically I've almost never done well on blonde staking threads.I have loyal buyers that I want to do well for! I always feel guilty for them if I do well in something that I've not sold for.
I'm excited to be here. Let's do this.

Maybe they were still a bit jet-lagged?

First event of the summer, and one of the biggest - the $5k 8max.
I made day two with about average chips. It was a really really tough day, especially given I was struggling with jet lag, up since 530am and the day didn't start till 4pm and finished at 3am.
Played against some really sickos, and felt out of my league in a few spots. But then in others I felt like I belonged there. Was a rollercoaster day. Went down to 8.7k from 25k starting in level 2, and had 87k in level 10.
I doubled through the reigning main event champ, and the hand was reported on wsop.com with him being referred to as "the big blind" throughout
I felt so big time haha.
I've sold a bit for this comp, and done a full TR on the staking thread, so if you want gory details on some hands, that's the place to go...
Pretty excited about today, less than 200 players away from more than a half a million pay day, an early glimpse of a sweat...
Restarts 2pm local time.

GL Alex.
It usually takes me about a week to totally recover from the jet-lag.
In my defence I am fairly old..
