Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. we are back in the game. Did all the uninstalling drivers and shit to no avail. Sat there crying looking at my reflection in the black monitor when I had a brain wave..  It turns out my monitor just needed to be put into HDMI mode, it doesn't automatically detect it apparently.. Slightly embarrassed.

Did have a heart stopping moment. Instead of logging off I put it into sleep then the PC wouldn't wake up. I took out the power cord, put it back in and still nothing. arrrghhhhhh. Took out the power cord again, pressed the power button, left it for a few minutes and then it worked. I wont be putting it into sleep again then.

No excuses for not grinding anymore, roll on Monday..

Milli, what's your internet connection like? I thought you lived in a village? I ask as mine is shocking and wondered if you make alternative arrangement other than standard ISP?

40 up / 15 down. I go through a company called Connexin. it's quite expensive £180 setup and £30 per month but it's the only way to stay in touch with the modern world.

Shit signals for dangles.
No BT / no virgin.

When I first moved here I paid for broadband and was actually getting 0.12mb dl speed.. it's a joke. Apparently BT infinity is coming in October. they said they will reach 97% of the UK or something. If you Google it you should be able to find your area and see when it is due an upgrade.

Get an anti-RSI mouse mat. I don't even play the online pokers and have one.

Where do you put your legs?

There is a bit for my feet which go under the printer and my legs just go there. Although  I often turn my chair to the side and just lean back and click away. Probs not the best position tbh.

Have ordered a mouse mat which has a gel wrist rest thing which is supposed to prevent rsi. I have been using PCs pretty much  everyday for the last 12 years. I imagine I am already a lock for problems.
