More pond life stealing from honest punters while the gambling commission does nothing.

http://www.racingpost.com/news/live.sd?event_id=14745024&category=0

It's the tip of the iceberg. Only the stupid ones get caught.

How the government and GC allow Joe Public to bet on horses to lose is a joke.

If you want to make money from horse racing it's far easier to lay a horse when you know it's not going to win rather
than trying to prepare a horse for a coup.

All the GC rules and regulations for Licensed bookmakers are ridiculous when essentially anyone laying a horse on Betfair
is doing the same as a bookmaker but without any real checks if you do it clever enough.

Nothing will change , the GC will continue to be a pathetic quango with pen pushers.

Marlet rasen 2.0
I thought Kasakh Noir would be a bit shorter than Wolfcatcher on what they have done and how the races have panned out.
( limited form i know ) do think Noirs second race he ran into a couple of real gooduns.
Maybe its because im not usually keen on those Ferguson/Bloomfield horses, they are often underpriced bridle horses.

Sorry to hark on about this again, but here is the full info on the horse cheating case

http://www.britishhorseracing.com/disciplinary_notices/disciplinary-panel-reasons-regarding-darren-egan-and-philip-langford/

The time span of the alleged conspiracy stretched from 17 June 2013 to 16 July 2013. Prior to that, Mr Langford, a businessman, had been a substantial gambler placing over 50,000 bets through his Betfair account (and a second account in the name of one of his employees) between 2004 and June 2013. Over that lengthy period, his betting showed no concentration upon laying or backing particular horses, jockeys, trainers or owners. But this changed suddenly in mid-June 2013. He began to lay horses ridden by the apprentice Darren Egan, who had held a licence since January 2012. Mr Langford also began to use a Betdaq account for racing bets from 27 June 2013.

6. By 17 July, the top 11 lay liabilities ever risked on his own Betfair account were for Egan rides; 14 of the top 20 lay liabilities on the Betfair account in his employee’s name were for Egan rides; and 14 of the 18 bets placed through Betdaq were for Egan rides. Additionally, two further heavy lay betting risks were taken against Miss Pike’s rides.

7. On 17 July 2013, Betfair suspended Mr Langford’s accounts. By this date, he had risked £838,870 on Egan rides, making an overall profit of £53,560 on the Betfair and Betdaq accounts. Analysis of the Betfair accounts shows that Mr Langford was taking extraordinary percentages of both the win and place markets for the larger Egan liabilities he risked. He took a quarter to a third of the whole market for his win lays, and frequently took 70-80% of the place market.

If any of you were on a jury, would you have any reasonable doubt at all that that these guys "interfered with the process of gambling"?

Surprised in the Racing Post article no mention of a criminal prosecution. Surely there is a case to be found for fraud.

Dont fancy much with the races we have today, but bit like yesterday the carlisle 4.05 is only 3 runner race thought the fav ( Subtle Grey )should be bit shorter than it is (10/11) to beat these 2 given his form, giving bit of weight away but shoud be ok.
