Top tips for Vegas following our recent trip!
1. Take some earplugs but make sure you hide them from the maid so she doesn't throw them away!
2. Make sure the taxi driver tells you his route before you head off anywhere. They continually tried to rip us off by taking the freeway when it was much cheaper to go either on the strip or behind Bally's/Venetian.
3. Visit Town Square on the Deuce bus (south of Mandalay Bay, adjacent to the airport). Great outlet with fabulous sales on in every shop inc Abercrombie and Hollister. Make sure you make use of the many happy hours (actually 3 or 4 hours in most cases!) from 3pm onwards in Blue Martini, Double Helix and English's.
4. If you're buying in to a WSOP event don't do it on the day of the event, the queues will be ridiculous. Buy in the evening/night before!
5. If you have a dinner break at the Rio walk across to the Gold Coast casino which is much quieter to eat. They have a TGI Fridays and if you ask for quick service you'll get it! You need to cross the road near the shuttle bus stops and head across to the lower level of the Gold Coast car park. You can walk through the car park to the casino entrance.
6. Palazzo Shoppes have a couple of good places with happy hours from 3pm Mon-Fri - Double Helix and Table 10.
7. Fancy one of the best steaks in Vegas without having to pay the world? Charlie Palmers at the Four Seasons Hotel have a Cut of the Week menu for only $48 per person. 3 courses and bottomless wine included, absolute bargain. Their website is updated weekly with the menu -

9. If you buy into a Venetian Deepstack event, rather than collecting yet another cap or t-shirt, ask them for the $10 food credit instead!
10. Try Earl of Sandwich in Miracle Mile Shops. Best sandwiches in the world!
Hope this helps!
