Buffett's 2014 letter is out

Ooh, thank you.
Too long to read now, that will need a dedicated evening, but I could not resist a quick peek, & soon found a wonderful Buffetism......
With the acquisition of Van Tuyl, Berkshire now owns 91⁄2 companies that would be listed on the Fortune
500 were they independent (Heinz is the 1⁄2). That leaves 4901⁄2 fish in the sea. Our lines are out.

Just in case he vanishes into the ether for another few decades:
Let's hear what you were going to tell us about Terry Downes via Dave Charnley.

I see Berkshire Hathaway shares are doing quite well, valued at $220k per share! A decent increase from last year, owning just one share would have increased your wealth by $50k - a nice annual salary.

I was playing PLO8 on Sky Poker last night.
The PLO8 player base on Sky Poker, though much expanded of late, are all known to me. I make it my business to know every player in the PLO8 player pool.
As, I suppose, part of my job, & because it's "good for the game", I also take great care & trouble to welcome all "new" (new to Sky Poker) players who appear on my Tables.
So it was quite interesting last night when I found myself on a table with a player playing his first ever game on Sky Poker. (I checked him via Sharkscope, as I do all "strangers").
His screen-name was "Tal_1960", which I thought interesting. His field address was shown as "Birmingham".
After I wished him well, I casually, & by way of making convo, asked him if he was a chess player. (Tal being the clue).
The convo went like this.....
Tal_1960: chess?
Tal_1960: never heard of it
19:34tikay1:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Tal
Tal_1960: world champ in 1960?
tikay1: yup
Tal_1960: what an incredible coincidence!
tikay1: Amazing..........
19:37Enut: if you like concrete and trains you'll be Tikays soul mate
Tal_1960: trains and concrete
19:38Tal_1960: quite a venn diagram, that
Enut: aye Tikay is an expert on both
tikay1: And Arsenal FC, obv
Tal_1960: is it concrete that's keeping wenger there?
19:39tikay1: Maybe, or maybe how bad Spurs are?
Tal_1960: can't believe you bit, tikay
tikay1:
tikay1: I have a hunch I know you, that's all Mr Tal Bloke.
19:40Tal_1960: think we might have met once before
tikay1: Possibly, yes.
Tal_1960: you're a youngish, good looking, well dressed bloke, right?
tikay1: You got me.
Enut: loooool
19:41Enut: owned
Was it our Tal, I wonder?
Note especially....
Tal_1960: you're a youngish, good looking, well dressed bloke, right?

Not forgotten this Ralph (& all other questions/comments), I've been on post-UKPC catch-up all week, but I'll soon be back up to speed.
