This picture is a horse's lungs fully inflated...amazing when you think they are enclosed in a horse's body!
You would know a horse takes in 2 x 5-Gallon buckets of air every second

I also thought it was the lungs of an elephant or some other large animal. I never thought it was light of horse...

There's a headstone in Darfield that reads, "Here lies such and such, tragically killed when this stone fell on him..."
On the headstone of one of the old-time poker players in Vegas is written "Deal Me Out For A While".

Haha, he lost me when he expounded his view of the likely predominant use of the Internet. I'll give him a 7 for oratory value and 3 as a thinker.

Just FYI Glen, you are definitely in my top 5 thinkers and writers.
Not kidding.
Can't comment on oration, I've never really heard you speak, (except to invite people to join you in the car park).
We'll have to have lunch one of the days and I''ll see what I think.

Haha. Couple of rib ticklers in there. FWIW , I have enjoyed so many stories from this diary that you are definitely in the top 5 diaries I read. If I'm anywhere up in the Midlands ish, which I think is where you are, I'd take you up on the lunch. Probably treat you like Vinni and do the inviting too

When you're 20, you worry what people think of you.
When you're 40, you don't care what people think of you.
When you're 60, you realise that no one was thinking about you in the first place.

I bet this picture by @CarlBovis on Twitter showing the little pads underneath a blue-tit's feet takes you back Tom.
Many of us had never seen them before or even knew they existed but I have a feeling you might have done.
