Amazed to see a tribute band featured among so many of you's collection of "faves". How DID Oasis get away with mimicking the Beatles for so long?

And Julian gets the Aladdin Sane / A Lad Insane one correct, sadly the "lad" took his life in terrible circumstances.

Appetite for Destruction was Genre Defining. look at what else was about in 1986. nothing like GnR thats for sure. You fell into one of 3 camps. Metal (Maiden/ACDC/Scorpions/Whitesnake/etc) Thrash (Metallica/Megadeth/Anthrax/Slayer) of Glam (Motley Crue/Kiss/Faster Pussycat/Poison)

GnR came along and although when you first saw a picture of them yuo might assume they were just another LA Sleaze/Glam Band when you listened to it it was so much more. an absolute classic album and as I said, 15 Million Albums sold to date.

One for the 40 year old's.
I was listening to New Order's ceremony on my IPOD last night and distinctly remember owning a cassette with the far better Joy Division version of the song. The only version of Ceremony by Joy Division I have now, seems to have a problem where one of the mic's fail for the first half of the song. Has anybody got any idea what I am talking about? It's sort of bugging me. I can still humm the original version so I think it existed. Its not a figment of my imagination....I think.
(Is it any surprise I am out of form?)

David Lloyd can you help ?

I managed to fall into all three groups! Although now I have mellowed and only listen to Metallica from thr Thrash group now. All of the Glam & Metal still gets a turn in my CD Player.

Stu Hamms Bass Solo was the best I have ever seen, Although for entertainment value Gene Simmons comes close!
