I wish the BBC would find presenters with some knowledge of the sport they are presenting.

Not satisfied with the vapid, "Will he be using tactics?" Seema Jaswal, we are now being treated to such insights as,"You can tell by his expression that he wants to win" and, "It's two frames all, it doesn't get more exciting than that" delivered in the lilting, tilting Welsh tones of random bint Catrin Heldd.

I'm sure she has plenty of experience, but I suspect it's mostly centred around school runs and ironing.

She is truly dreadful.

I'm so glad it's not just me that shouts at the telly

Unlucky with the Allen bet Tony, I thought he was starting to look the most likely winner of the tournament.

He missed two simple reds which surprised me, one along the top cushion and another into the middle, and they were the difference.

My favourite frame was the tactical one where he tied Higgins in knots with some sublime safety shots that would never have occured to me.

Is it me, or has Daddies sauce got thinner? (Leaves door open for "Well you haven't got thinner" gag)

Back in the day when they used to put sauce bottles on tables in cafes instead of selling you a teaspoon full in a sachet for 20p, it seemed to take ages for the sauce to run out of the bottle, sometimes you had to bang on the bottom to get it moving. These days it seems to run out like water.

I reckon they've changed the formula to accommodate these newfangled duck fart squirters.

Brings to mind the old ditty: "Shake oh shake the ketchup bottle first none'll come then a lot'll"

I really liked Ken Docherty as a player but as a commentator I find him rather irksome fairly often.

I am a self-confessed grumpy old man with a long list of irksomes, especially on comms. but is it just me?

Did someone nick Si's cue?

He's playing like he and his cue are strangers.

Don't forget guys, the clocks go forward on the 31st of March, which means we get one hours less rain.

I usually make a seamless transition into having my evening g&t an hour earlier.

What a torrid two-legged tie that was - I am emotionally drained.

Turned out nice again though..

Pride is indeed a joyous thing.

I discovered that there was a world beyond Watney’s when I first tasted Barnsley Bitter in a country pub somewhere between Corby and Northampton. When I then learnt that this marvellous brew was to become history I joined CAMRA and was involved in a fair few beer festivals in the 70s.
In 1975 I auctioned off 8 pints of London Pride at Northampton Drill Hall, for £2 a pint. Amazing what people will pay when they’ve spent the day drinking.

If I were told that i was only ever allowed to drink one single beer, then Landlord is the beer that I would choose.

I am not in favour of the proliferation of so-called ‘craft’ beers and ‘American’ IPA, who drinks this stuff?

I agree with you about Landlord if I could only drink one beer, unless TT's Boltmaker - their best bitter - were available.
