Its called a "must move" game.  Why can't uk cardrooms use the correct terminology?

lol, what difference does it make? Americans don't call tournaments comps (or competitions), does it make it any less a correct term?

No, but when there is a term "must move" that perfectly adequately describes a situation, what is the point in inventing a new term that isn't as good at describing the situation?

I sat at one of those feeder tables the other night.  Bloke next to me was telling me he had a brand new car - looks like a jaguar.  Got leather seats and a CD player.

Just another day then?

Yesterday went too soon!!

I have never heard of the term 'must move', i've only ever heard of feeder tables.  I also think 'feeder' adequetly describes the situation.  Just saying..

At Luton they say there is a seat on the feeder table, but it is a must move table. Covers it all imo.

You're very passionate about this and have taken this way to personal.   From now on I will be using the term 'must move table' instead of 'feeder table' and see if anybody else I know has heard of it.

P.S googled both, got some obscure US poker websites for must move , and bird feeding tables websites  Does this prove your point?

A "Must Move" Table is an extension of the main game, therefore ALL chips must be transferred from the feeder table (even if this is less than the original sit down).

If the tables aren't must move, then they are separate games in their own right and you can weed back to the minimum sit down, on the other hand if you have less than the minimum sit down you must make it up.

So in this instance it would be incorrect to call it a 'must move' table?

I wish people would use the correct terminology Tongue

That would be most strange indeed.  Is this one of those weird misheard lyrics things, like when Jimi Hendrix said 'excuse my while I kiss this guy'?  I thought the dude drank 'cider from eleven'.  Someone needs to get to the bottom of this.
