I quite agree. Great value bet. Just wasn't to be.

Strange decision with Tim Krul, never thought he was great at saving pens for us.

Went the right way for all five.

I can't have the keeper walking up to the taker and behaving like that. Fair enough from his own line. Really poor sportsmanship.

What must the best penalty saver in their squad be thinking?

Argentina beat Belgium 1-0 which meant the £20 e/w on Belgium to win the world cup fell. Belgium really didn't perform to the sum of their parts throughout the tournament i felt

ongoing positions

- The WSOP Main event 1a saw 771 runners. Last year's WSOP ME figures were 943/1942/3467 so there is a bit of ground to make up. By all accounts the daily satellites are rammed, so this bet has a way to go yet. 2000+ today please

- The Netherlands victory over Costa Rica means they play Argentina in the World Cup Semi

We have £25 Arg to final at 4-1, £50 e/w Arg at 4-1, £30 e/w Ned at 8-1

this is how he hones his reaction times. gets tennis balls flung at him, and he has to keep them out

- We have a small bet on Messi at 10-1 to top the whoscored.com player ratings for the WC, and after 5 matches....

Hey Tighty,

Please post this to Fred after reading.

Cheers, Jason

http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/stage-2/winner

I must be the only guy in the world that looks at the bottom of the GC after a race. I like to see who's not cycling as hard as they should be, and if there is a reason behind it.

Yesterday in the TdF, there was a split in the peloton owing to the sharp hills and/or invasive crowds, and a lot of the riders who were taking it easy at the back got dropped. Although most (especially the GC contenders who didn't want to lose any time) made it back on to the bunch, a few gave up on the chase and capitulated. Some were sprinters and couldn't handle the furious pace: Modolo, Petacchi, Viviani, Dempster. A couple ostensibly had one eye on today's stage and all the points available in the KOM competition: De Marchi, Timmer. Today's stage looks like this:

One rider in this group of stragglers that caught my eye was Adam Hansen. A noted breakaway specialist, he won a stage in last year's Giro d'Italia which looked like this:

Notice the similarity? The sawtooth profile with the kicker at the end? According to his Twitter account, nothing out of the ordinary happened to him yesterday, and he enjoyed the stage. Bet666 currently have him at a staggering 250/1 against the more reserved 50/1 of Spoilsports and SidJames. Could be reading too much into it, but I recommend a £5 bet on Adam Hansen to win Stage 2 (don't bother with e/w ... breakaways are either boom or bust)).

PS. Anyone with a working SidJames account, Tom Jettle (sic) Slagter @ 50/1 e/w (1-2-3-4) is an absolutely goofy (and OOL) price. Might not be the best flat sprinter in the world, but should be in the mix in today's mini-LBL stage.

Beteverydayoftheyear

250-1, 125-1 best elsewhere

"bet max" button, see what it says

10p!

well when he wins its still £25, and a 250-1 winner would be something wouldn't it?

Adam Hansen @ 250/1
£0.10  Single    06/07/2014 09:02:00

i had a look at Mr slagter, 50/1 is now only available at betway, which isn't funded. As short as 20-1 elsewhere

Grt stuff again by Jason (very unlucky yesterday), & yes, the sheer kudos of a 250/1 winner will do me.
