Well he told me something that wasn't exactly wild. He said he's a changed man and the staff and players have recognized this as of late.
But he's still barred amiright? Why has he abandoned this thread? This was my favourite diary on blonde
I think he got fed up of a lot of people taking the mick on here, I get where John comes from a lot, as people can be very misunderstood on the Interweb.
Agree tho, think he should come back and give the fans the hand history's they desire, after all that's what makes this diary so enjoyable in a sick sort of way. Take care John Black!
this...
I got a little frustrated with some people on here and some views that I've wasted efforts by others or I don't care or don't like money etc etc...
I've always been honest in this diary and it has helped me grow and grow as a player, but more importantly has helped me mature as a person. The 'problem' as many would say... is that there are fundamental structures in my personality that have been barriers to overcome when playing poker hands.
There were many comments on other threads about "wasted advice" or players "taking the piss when poker is just so easy"... etc etc.
If its that easy, everyone would do it.
I've spoken to some of the people I know, whose opinion I value.. off the forum in this time. I've had some successes and some failures in my time 'off'.
With a live graph that looks like Nessie... - down, up, down, down, dowwwn, upppppppp, down and finally up, up, up, up! (However only one part of a session took us above 0 - didnt finish above unfortunately)
Not that it really matters but I managed the following in the first four weeks of a casino near my home:
- over 8 days worth of play time
- finish losing close to 20buyins
- lost 11 standard all in pre flops in a row.. smallest being £50, rest were £150+
- took two creative lines in big pots versus weak players who managed to make their 'one outer' for a nutty hand... dont ever bluff?
- win a 900bb pot with Q10 vs J10 on AJ2K2 where I get called on the river
- made friends with some people I had avoided or annoyed in the past
- made a good impression and been invited to numerous pub, private and home games
- befriended most of the staff and managers, even having a couple of meetings with cardroom manager to understand his targets and give feedback from player pov that respects that and should allow actual change
- won back virtually all of the losses in first week of Oct with some very patient and targetted, aggressive play
And
- managed to get a one month bar from the poker room only.. for saying (quote)
"You cant do that Davide, dont be ridiculous, use your brain... you cant charge full rake (10%) for hu and 3 handed play..."
Then next time I come in and card room manager wants a word... he says "you were rude to davide and ive seen a clip of you mucking another players hand... and youve been complained about by memebers of staff x, y, z so thats it... one month!"
The video in question is a showdown where I table K3o, someone else tables K9o and the girl next to me slowrolls 97o
on
K76Q6....
the dealer doesnt muck her hand.. then she picks it up... shows me and I say "give it to the dealer..." then pass it to the middle...
In front of the GM he accepts I corrected a dealer mistake and that there is no evidence of me doing anything else wrong
But tough shit...........
meh.
Already found some other games to play and will get back to grinding online.
c'est la vie... much more important things are going on in my life at the moment.
Poker is a game, not my job.
