Dawn Dineen won the RUK tipping competition.

Is it our Laxie?

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii - that's me!!!  Pity I don't live in the UK though.     Read terms and conditions AFTER entering the damn comp.  Sigh.

BIG day ahead... Loads going on, praying for a better day than yesterday

Got bets in all races bar the marting pipe.. Main fancies are are Dirar in the County, backed it earlier in week @ 10's, Shoreacres in the Grand Annual which I've got @ 14/1 and Long Run in GC @ 6/1

Good luck anyone getting involved.

Ante Post bets on Dirar @ 14/1 and Midnight Chase @ 25/1

If one of these win, I am out of it for the week.

If neither win watch out for the nipping PM's.

Probably going to add Long Run in the GC. Think it should be clear favourite.

Why are there horses in a race that don't have a shout of a chance of winning?   Given that it costs money to enter a race, why do they bother?  Did they win a satellite competition and win a place?

Firstly you never know- if you squint, you can often see some justification that your horse could be suitable. Sometimes you have to squint a lot.

Secondly 3rd or 4th prize for one of these races is often more than 1st prize every other day of the year.

And thirdly, if you are an owner you get free tickets to the best seats in the house, and some people just want to own a horse that runs at Cheltenham, and do it for the "day out" factor.

I'm on Imperial Commander @ 9/2, he's lightly raced, an out and out course specialist and has his ground.

I've also got small interests on:

Third Intention in the Triumph @ 14

Alarazi @ 10 in the County Hurdle to collect the £50k bonus for Emma Lavelle.
