Bollocks!

I've just looked at that picture of the air-fryer and realised that it isn't waterproof all the way to the top, it's leaking through the rivets that hold the handle on.

Why do bad things happen to good people?

That was close. If I'd left it until tomorrow it would have filled the knife drawer.

Why should the air-fryer get special treatment?

Because it's greasy Ralph. We've agreed that the greasy stuff has to be washed.

I've always loved Top Gear, (Now known as The Grand Tour) and, despite my better judgement, I've always had a grudging admiration for Jeremy Clarkson. He speaks well, he writes well, he's very bright and very funny.

Despite his many faults, he has lived an amazing life, travelled the world, earned a vast fortune and entertained millions of people in the process.

I've just started watching the latest Grand Tour series and although I know it's all staged and semi-scripted, they never quite know what's actually going to happen until it happens and that's why I love it.

Here is Clarkson displaying his most redeeming feature, the ability to laugh at himself.

Also, do I wash up after every meal, or once a day, or when I run out of crockery?

It isn't necessary to single-use crockery.  Only those used for sticky or greasy foodstuffs need washing. Cups can just be used several times by rinsing them out with cold water. Plates etc that def need washing can be rinsed and left in the basin till enough have accumulated to require that you set aside your important business and deal with them.

Lovely to read your updates again.

Apparently (according to Tiktok) many American families only use paper plates....

Really?

It seems like a good idea on the face of it but there is still all the mugs, bowls, pans, cutlery and other paraphernalia.
I know you can get paper bowls but I doubt if one of those could stand up to a portion of Mrs Red's stew and dumplings.
Also, there are the rain forests to think of. What a minefield.

In 2005 when Top Gear with Clarkson, May and Hammond was on BBC they won an Emmy.
The look of disgust on their faces (Clarkson in particular) when they announced it on the programme was priceless. They had won an award for the best Non Scripted Entertainment

OK. Washing up done. Probably below Mrs Red's standard by a magnitude of about 97 but good enough for me.

Tonight, pizza and a choc-ice. No plates necessary.

Apparently they won a shed load of awards but perhaps none so ironic.

Change of plan when an unexpected guest arrived bearing a Turkish takeaway.

And before you ask, no, it wasn't Celtic.

Food and underpants are obviously popular, I've counted 3 regular readers now, which is twice as many as I had last week.
