Haircut day for Poppy.
She's such a good girl and she trusts me absolutely. I think she would let me cut her ears off off if I told her it was OK.
Also, she doesn't mind the unusual decor in my salon.

You just use scissors for her haircut?
She must be very trusting of your steady hand.
I dare not try it with my cocker spaniel, off to the groomer who uses clippers. and charges like a wounded bull.

She is very trusting but by the same token I am very careful.
If I have to do something that I know will hurt her, like remove a thorn or drain an abscess, I reassure her that it's OK and she's fine.
If you do mock up stuff when your dog is a puppy - clack the scissors around and pretend to cut hair, poke around in their mouth, mess with their feet etc, but make sure everything has a happy ending.
By the time they are adult it's all old hat and nothing to worry about.

Hmm, I wish I knew that 10 years ago. Particularly the "poke around in their mouth, mess with their feet" bit which my dog does not like.

Here's something you don't see very often.
He was fishing in the brook but he was very shy and I missed that photo.

Hang on, this bloke stabbed his previous partner and her 11yo son, now he's stabbed his current partner and he only gets 13 years?
WTF is up with the judge, can't he see a pattern developing?

Methinks there will be a considerable amount of erm.. er... harrumphing during PMQ's today.
Is there a person in the country who believes that Boris is telling the truth about the Christmas party?

And there we were laughing at those who voted Trump in...
It's amazing how he keeps getting away with it.
I think it was Jim Callaghan who once said Governments & Leaders don't get bought down by big failures, it's the little ones that cause most trouble. I don't really like to wish anyone bad fortune, but if this brings the dreadful man down I may just permit myself a little smile.
