Baffling stage, tactically hard to understand whats going on in the Tinkoff team.

More bad news for Uran loosing another team mate.

bizarre from tinkoff, throwing kreuizeger up the road, then working on the front simultaneously. astana looked super strong today, i think our best chance of getting Uran on the podium is Aru getting popped at doping control  Tongue great to see a race so animated this early, just wish our man wasnt on the wrong end of it. losing 2 team mates is a big blow also. has the makings of a great tour now teams are playing their cards this early

today's a flat finish, sprinters should be licking their lips, but interesting to hear contador say the jersey was just loaned to him for a day, he'll give it back today. In that case a breakaway has to succeed, so gone Visconti (56 seconds down) and Paterski, who likes to get in a break. very small, 300/1 and 400/1. hoping at least one gets in the break so i get a bit of a sweat. we're defo in hail mary territory here  Grin

I think Paolini will try for the break today. Noticeably last yesterday, either saving energy for today or totally shot!

yep, he who dares  Smiley

also on Modolo 7/1, Lampre should be up for it after yesterday to get him well positioned for the sprint, hoping it's scrappy & Greipel messes up.

latest on contador is dislocated shoulder, once when he crashed then again on the podium. his continued participation is touch and go apparently
