I've just upgraded my subscription to get a better deal but now most of the programmes are in HD.

I don't really want HD, (I don't have a HD telly) but what I really don't want is to record in HD because it takes up oodles of disc space.

Is there an option to switch off HD anywhere?

Every HD channel will also have a non-HD version on a different number

Thanks Andrew.

It would have been nice to have an option rather than having to go looking for the non HD version every time though.

if i want to record a full box set from the sky plus thingy, is there a way for me to press 2 or 3 buttons for the entire series, or do i have to select each individual episode, then select SD/HD etc?

Get a HD TV

It's not that George. I just don't want to save huge HD files when I can save small ordinary ones.

Do you keep them for long after you've watched them?

I think you have to do each episode individually.  It's a pain.

No, but sometimes I don't watch them for ages.

I'm sure you can just set it to SD Red.

I have a HD box but don't subscribe to the HD channels and I get all the channels fine, and record in SD

Hang on. When I didn't subscribe to the HD channels I didn't get them either.

If there is a way of doing it, ring sky, they're normally quite good at talking you through stuff.
