I heard Paddy Power is offering money back (≤ £100) if Hurricane Fly wins.

Be quite a bet if true. I fancy Grandouet anyway...

LOL. Hobbs no better.

Just had a runner in 2.20 first time up for Tom G. Hobbs told Roger he got 3 runners today, he runner in the first had absolutely no chance, and his two favs should win.

His no chance just won at 40-1, lets see what happens to the other two.

Not sure why owners pay so much money to these people if they cant either

a, know how their horses will do a bit more accurately
b, tell bloody great porkies to the bill payers

and thus it will ever be I expect

Fair point, nevertheless.

Did my old office tipping comp dinner, last night. All bets are treated as 'free' and settled at BSP. 6 of us playing so it's death or glory in terms of picking out things at a price. Double points for NAP, 1.5x for NB:

Bordoni (nap)
Rolling Star (nb)
Gevrey Chambertin
Pendra
Mail de Bievre
Court Minstrel
Tartak
Chatterbox

(reserves in case of non runners are ulck du lin and rock on ruby)

What do people reckon?

Yeh it's by horse rather than race so obv frees you up to play handicap fancies. Be interested to see Tartak does indeed run tomorrow and if so how he goes.

Kid Cassidy for the Grand Annual @ 14s (Hills only)

Disappointing in the race last year when sent off a well backed 4/1 fav off a mark of 145. He has had a different preparation this year with 3 prep runs and races off 143 now for the day that matters. They won it with a similar type in Bellvano last year and have sacrificed his season to have a go here. Alderwood is the current fav but will get no favours with his mark and has other engagements and stays further and I will be surprised if Mccoy doesn’t stick with Kid Cassidy as is a bit keen and needs a bit of knowing. Wouldn’t be the end of the world if Geraghty or Carberry rode instead though. Henderson loves to win this race too for obvious reasons.

Hope you're wrong!(sorry). Am on Alderwood big time. Thought he had been given a reasonable mark, based on his blatant non efforts this year.

Also, pretty sure AP rode Alderwood to victory in County last year, and was on Kid Cassidy who hit everything, so probably a straightforward choice, unless KC is the plot!

Backing Topper was always a gamble, as Bailey said plenty of times, he didnt think Topper was old/experienced enough for festival.

I backed Going Wrong last year too. Sadly I think he maybe one of those Ferdy horses that spends so many races being yanked backed, to get well handicapped, that they forget how to win races, or even pass horses!!

I fancied BSB for Gold Cup, so really think he should dot up today, if my original thoughts on his talent were right.
