My Mam and Dad wrote down the story of their early lives, to leave to us kids as a sort of record/heirloom, they are the two most unlikley writers you could ever meet

Lo and behold, someone got interested and it was published in two slim volumes

That's twice I've asked who Chesney is, & 27 times someone has posted "I am the one and only".

RED CARD for Mikky t. Sorry about that Mikky, but I will not have my authority challenged. Do you know who I am?

i am the one and only

i am the one and only

It's turning into a bad 80's remake of Spartacus in here.

Mind you I'd rather be crucuifed than claim to be Chesney Hawkes  Wink

RE Spartacus, loved the story that was doing the rounds about one of Kirk Douglas' sons (the crap one) doing stand-up in London. He was struggling & the hecklers were slagging him. He lost the plot & shouted out "DO you know who I am? I'm Kirk Douglas' son!!".

Cue heckler standing up and shouting "NO, I'm Kirk Douglas' son!!", then another then another.

Exit the real Mr Douglas - stage left  Grin

Comic: "let's take some topical suggestions from the audience"
Punter: "get off?
Comic: "That's not topical"
Punter: "get off now"

Comic, dying on his arse, being heckled by, among others, a blind guy, suddenly the blind guy stands up and shouts "FU** OFF!!!" a deathly silence decends, blind guy enquires, "has he gone?"

I liked one of Billy Connoly's "You should have an agent Pal, why sit there in the dark handling yourself?"

I saw chubby in brum a couple of years ago and he was heckled from the crowd.
He stormed off stage and refused to come back on........what a muppet
