Amongst the early exits

Michelle Bennett knocks out Stephen Lockett. Lockett shoved his short-stack UTG with Q-5. Michelle looked him up with K-J on the button and rivered a house

Marc Foggin button raises, Ian Woodley 3 bet shoves the big blind.

Foggin makes a good call with A-9, ahead of K-Q, flops an Ace and knocks Woodley out

Here's Woodley next to Andrew Hulme, as he shoved

rastafish raises in the small blind, Willie Tann in the big blind calls

Equal enough stacks, probably 80,000 each

flop   Tc 9c  5s

rasta leads, Tann  shoves

Tomlin makes a huge call with  Th 3h

Tann has the draw-tastic  Qc Jc

turn  8h

river  6d

and Tomlin felts Tann

Maria Demetriou on the button with JJ

Andrew Hulme and Colin Marks in the blinds with A-K

Maria covers the two shorter stacks, just and all the stacks are in the middle pre-flop

Ace on the turn means Hulme and Marks split the pot leaving Maria virtually out

It's unbelievable Ralph. How can something like that happen to a nice bloke like me?

He sat down, found AA first hand, won a pot, and then spent the next 20 minutes telling us how he was going to get them quietly.

Live Feed update

Complete re-start of the server in the break. Looks to be up and running fine, so within the next 20 minutes given its a 30 minute delay you'll be able to enjoy the sights and sounds live from DTD

I typed this with a straight face.

As for dodgy comments in the DTD live chat box, I think they'll be deleted and DTD accounts frozen, so be careful out there.

Nick Hicks maybe 170,000, now on Simon Deadman's table. Has made a living all day 3-betting Bradpiece. Now that's over for now, as Bradpiece is on the feature

A tough 90 minutes for cambridgealex as he is on 200,000 from 300,000. Sharing a table with jakally, scotty77, Nathan Lee

Keith Johnson has been grinding a short-stack all day. On about 75k, 25xbb

Todd Swain is on about 50,000

Aamir MucktheNuts Masood about 140,000

Matt Russell and Michelle Bennett 200,000 each

Jake Cody 230,000 plus

Jake Cody opens UTG

Alan Stearn calls in the big blind

 Qh 5d 4h

check, Cody 7,000

Stearn check raises to 30,000

Cody flats. With  Kh Kc (some leeway on the suits, I can't get close enough)

turn  Kd

Stearn 50,000

Cody 120,000

Stearn all in 450,000

CALL

Stearn  4d 4c (again, half a guess on the suits)

Cody's set over set takes him to 800,000 and 10% of the chips in play with 45 left

Counting out the Cody double up

Simon Deadman 8,000 UTG playing 130,000

Ali mallu all in UTG+1 playing 110,000

Andrew Wayman all in UTG+2 playing 119,000

Back to Deadman he calls off with  Ahrt Kc

Mallu  3d 3h

Wayman  Ac Ad

 6d 4d 9s 9h Ks

Wayman trebles up to nearly 400,000 knocking out Mallu and felting Deadman

AK off???! slightly questionable..
you didn't notice Ali mallu all in UTG+1 playing 110,000?  Surely that makes it instacall

hmm maybe, but i was thinking vs 2 others makes the pass easier, 98.5% sure to be racing at the very very best, and in this case not racing, hence crushed, and out. GG. AQ would be an insta-pass, why not AK? just my 2 cents..

clearly playing the playaz i can only assume/meta-game etc etc..... but 130k at the start of the hand, lose the 8 and swallow? or risk the entire stack potentially crushed vs 2 others? much better spots to risk your entire stack with imo...

Colburn Tomlin and Michelle Bennett are having a right old Barney

the genesis of it appears to be an hour or so when Michelle asked Colburn to put his "big chips at the front"

No big deal, you might think

Later, Michelle button raises and Colburn calls in the big blind with Q-5

Colburn check calls A-2-4

3 on the turn

Colburn 45,000 on the river, paid off by A-x

We're in to recriminations, accusations, episodes of Jeremy Kyle

Colburn called with Q-5 because "you asked me to put my big chips to the front"

Michelle "How can you call the flop with an inside straight draw"!

Colburn "I am in this for the long run, play the game all the time"

Michelle "I am amazed you made it this far"

I think they are both settled down now

Michelle down to 120,000

Nathan Lee had got very short by the time he shoved with A-K

Matt Russell called with K-J and flopped a Jack

Alan Stearn shoves K-Q, Iwan Jones finds A-K

Q on the flop, A turn, A river

David La Ronde min raises

Jack Allen and Frankie call in the blinds

 Jd 2c Tc

checked to La Ronde who shoves, an overbet, 180,000

Allen folds Q-J off

Frankie then goes into a touch of the Larry Graysons

"Oooh I can't fold. Oh no. I must play to win the tournamnet. Oh no."

He calls, a really big one for him

Palpable tension as a crowded rail of DTD regs lean over from the second tier

with  Jc 8c

La Ronde  Ac 5c

Yikes

turn and river brick for clubs

Frankie goes over 400,000

David La Ronde out 29th

Frankie gets a huge roar

He shakes hands with David, played in fantastic spirit and then rushes over to the other rail by the front door and gives a startled Terry Plummer an enormous kiss on the cheek and a hug

Terry's lucky day

I much prefer this style of updating to the new fangle dangle video feeds because of the reliability issues.  Plus these type of written reports help build the suspense.  I really can't see how DtD don't see this and don't have blonde updating on a permanent basis.

Given that Blonde for many has been one of the best sources of poker updates for many years has there ever been consideration to doing a video feed as an update? Seems to work on AWOP and I would think with the calibre of player who post on here and who are close to the main stakeholder then great analysis could be given.

Prob not the thread for this but my tuppence worth.

Good luck to Red Dog and Alex.  Red Dog for his backers and Alex because I love the honesty and openess of his diary.

Is Red-Dog the same fella that used to bash up Ladbrokes a few years ago?

Video Feeds. These updates are complimentary to video feeds

Would we do them? No, because of the capital cost of the equipment and the numbers of people required to run them

awop and d 4 do a great job, no point replicating that. and we're skint.

Yes it is that RED-DOG

Todd Swain and RED-Dog go through the blinds without forcing the pace. So with under 50,000 they realistically have an orbit before they get called pretty wide

Dan Daley doubled through, so not at risk

Frankie over 500,000

Amir Masood 150,000

They should bubble chop for each other (if on same table) - and shove alternate hands

Just three minutes before the break and approaching 80 minutes into the bubble we have an exit

Anthony Nicholls open shoves  Ad 3c on the button

Jake Cody  Ahrt Ks in the small blind calls

the flop is intriguing   5c 2s 6c

the turn gives Nicholls club outs  8c

river  7s and we lose Anthony Nicholls in 28th

The 27 remaining competitors now guaranteed £1,500

Thanks Fraser! Just a bit of banter, we kissed and made up, no big deal! We can't all get on with everyone all the time can we, would be pretty dull if we did. I will try my best to be uncontroversial next time I play!

Great work Rich. A pleasure to read.

One of the following to win :

Tom - great story, great for the blonde stakers, and one of the good guys.
Andrew - will spend the next few months giving Jason constant rubs.
Frankie - saw someone called him annoying on the thread earlier. He may have volume, but such a top fella with time for everyone (as long as you are prepared to listen to the odd bad beat or two).
Alex - so up for this. He would be unbearable if he went back to back, but would be a superb achievement.
Matt - any celebratory night out has the potential to be the greatest.

Good luck to all of them. Really looking forward to following this later.

Wow Tighty the updates have been magic - so thankyou for all the hard work. With the failure of the live stream you've been a hero - I don't think I've ever seen so many hands reported before.

I've been waiting til the field narrows to 20 or 30 players in the hope that I could funk for one or two people but I can't - there's a bunch of great guys left in that I'd love to see win.

Alex doing the double would be pretty sick - I don't mind that no-one would hear the end of it as we haven't heard the end of the last one yet!

Red Dog - some sick shortstack grinding for one of blonde's most loved members along with Tikay. Red Dog clearly > Tikay though as he at least dyes his hair a sensible colour :)

Frankie - wtf at annoying. I wish more people were like him in live poker. So fun, full of energy and a really nice bloke. Has a lot of #loveforthegame too.

Jake - be great to see him win this. After finishing 2nd in the GUKPT grand final a few weeks ago his confidence must be at rock bottom and for such a nice guy, he deserves to have it back.

Titbeam - could be the greatest winners interview ever. 'LOL Live poker. Variance. Rungoodaments is it - never playing live again - 20 hands a day rofl isssss ittttt'.

Jerome - don't know how he doesn't get mentioned as one of the nicest guys in poker more. Absolutely top dude. Would like to see him win after iirc taking a horrid beat deep in this tourney last time out.

Finally Matt Russell...

is freerolling in this event because of a long term bet we had this year which saw Matt have to train at the gym 4x per week all year with 4 weeks off. He had, I think 2 weeks out due to injury, 2 weeks off and has his final 2 weeks off now.

This means he's trained 46 weeks and a total of 184 times.

If he wins the Monte Carlo, he'll have effectively been paid 485pounds for every session he's done in the gym.

:)

so really he's done fuck all.

I haven't won any of those either...does that make me as good as him? :D
