This thread is way too far down the page...

Scotch Nash tomorrow and all decent firms are going five places (see you Sportingbet and Hills).
http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/2016-04-16-ayr/16:10/winner

Willie's sent over the fav to piss on Paul Nicholls's trainers' championship chips. Second fav is the horse JP should have won the Grand National with who now has to run off his true - 12lb higher - mark. The third in is the obvious jobber from the up-to-now a bit quiet Tony Martin yard.

Away from the front, I've burdened Spookydooky (20-1) who is 2lbs lower than his Midlands National fourth, Dicky up, Jonjo's decided to start winning, cheekpieces first time, and (gulp) Shotgun Paddy (33-1) who's had a hard season and hits fences but who finished second in the Eider and third in the Welsh National off a lower weight than he carries in this and who also has the sheepskin sideburns on for the first time.

I would love to hear other thoughts. Good luck if you play.

Backed Highland Lodge after it missed out in the National.

Has a fair bit going for it, so fingers crossed it can get it done, and if not, hope yours do Smiley

Think Cloudy Dream is worth backing NTO, after seeing it get in a fair bit of bother, and fly home for 2nd.

Cheers Marky, I got that one well wrong with the third horse being second top weight and the winner fourth. Was looking from the bottom up.

As wrong as most of the Irish riders did and Paul Nicholls's chips remain delicious. 10/11 each of two going to Sandown.

I think Cloudy Dream may have gone into one or two trackers/notebooks.

Second replaces the first as the best handicapped horse in training. Let's hope it goes unnoticed ;-)

Haydock 1:40 Gunnery

It's not a great price (7/4) as it seems the info is out there about this one. Has a Dante entry, and has been training on extremely well. Spencer rides for Chapple-Hyam. Gosden's newcomers have been performing very well, however, and he has 2 in this race. Lord Napier has a Derby entry, and at 9/2 seems good value but Gosden's first string jockeys are at Leicester... Perhaps the only other danger is Haggas' inmate Daphne, but current prices suggest a lot of money is already down on Gunnery.

I'm on with a small win bet.

An interesting horse having its first outing for Ed Dunlop tomorrow at Chelmsford in the 7.30.

Shingwedzi was running in some of the better class races in SA before coming here, and while I get the quality of racing isn't as good, it's opening Mark could be quite workable if it has improved at all for the move.

9-1 might be worth a little interest.

Sticking with the ex olly Stephens angle today

800 Chelmsford shackled and drawn. Won here for Stevens mark similar hedger should improve it. Saved my bacon is very good around here so just a small bet at .

320 English hero. Gone to William knight who has had a few run well this is a typical 3 year old handicap where anything could and probably will improve. At 12s a small bet again

English hero never put into the race don't get me wrong wouldn't have beaten fav stays in tracker for now.

Shackled and drawn ran a corker just beaten by the course specialist.  Take him out now probably won't be a price again for a while
