Paul

I think the point is that this isn't an investment in the traditional sense, its a chance for people who know Iron, and admire him, to help him have a chance to recognise a dream.

Whilst of course money and sentiment aren't usual bedfellows, the amounts pledged by each individual are hopefully small for them, but in aggregate could reach quite a sum

Should the sentiment turn into an investment, fantastic. If not, no bother as far as my stake is concerned

in that sense its not a "usual" stake.

So how am i "pissing" on this thread as Snoopy so elequently put it?

WTF??

How am i "pissing" on this thread as you put it?

Not once have I wished ill of Ironside, not once.

I have a different opinion on weather it is a good/bad investment than most people - so if I have a different opinion form others I should keep quiet?!?

Is it written in stone somewhere "You MUST agree with the masses on Blonde or face the consequences?"

Ironside has not taken offence, so why the hell should you?

Also you seem to be implying that I am "pissing" on other threads as well - which ones are you referring to?

Trig, are you going to play if you dont manage to sell 60%?

I mean, are you willing to put up more than £1000 yourself? (If my math is correct)

No it isnt, money is money, and although I wish Ironside well , to me this represents a bad investment.

You quit playing yet?

Are you trying to say I am a loosing player?

Boldie - I asked the question.

Focused yes, but do you  think that certain decisions would be altered knowing that you are playing with someone else's money?

Being impatient, I am doing this, but with 6 day weeks and not 3 so am hoping to complete it in half the time

won't work

the reason you do it like it's laid out is you're building stamina in the muscles used for the exersize. The recovery time is as important (if not more so) as the workout time. If it's easy at the start you still shouldn't jump forward. The improvement needs to be gradual.

I understand rest time is important in exercise.

I do not see why you need more than a day of rest time though for an activity that only takes 10 minutes or so.

Rest time between the repetitions, yes, but 2 days rest between each set?

But what do I know - if it fails then I will do it as it is laid out.

You know me, I back up my statements - I do not just post random shit for the hell of it - well not often.

As for it being the most sensible and well presented post I have ever made? Nah, the one that got deleted a few days ago was better Wink

Relative to $20k it might! But if it doesn't make much of a difference to you, feel free to send 5% of $20k to my Stars account...

$20k into £ at 1.99 (todays rate) = £10,050

$20k into £ at 1.94 (lowest this year) = £10,309

$20k into £ at 2.03 (highest this year) = £9,852

So the dollar has fluctuated by a max of $0.09 to the £ which only gives a difference of £457

In reality, the $ has only fluctuated by $0.04 in the last 4 months ($1.94 to $1.98) which is a difference of £208.

This assumes he wishes to cash out all $20k (which I doubt) . So if he only wishes to cash out half, then the max swing on $10k this year has been £229 and in the last 4 months only £104.

Not exactly relative imo.

It could even be counter weighed by any interest gained once in the bank

How, in general (not diercted at Iron in any way) do you think it affects people's play when they are being staked 50% or os?

tbh, with $20k it wont make that much of a difference.
