Oooh, that Mr Matt Cartwright is a lucky boy.

He raised to 23k from the cutoff, only for Will Fry to reraise from the big blind to 65k with about 155k back.

After a minute or two Cartwright moves all-in. Fry instantly calls.

Cartwright:

Fry:

three diamonds

The second monster pot today where Cartwright has cracked Kings. Looks like this could be his day.

Did Fry say something like "that never would have happened in an EPT. DTD fish!" and walk off?

No he said got what he wanted, fairly philosophical about it (something an EPT champ can afford that the rest of us can't). Of course that hasn't stopped him telling all his mates in the £75 event about how unlucky he was!

Cartwright thought that because Fry took so long to reraise he didn't have a big hand.

Unlucky Jim.   Another cash in the £300.  Thought you might win this one though.

Simon Lee is a blonde.  He's also another habitual final-tabler at DTD.

Julian Lefevre limps, William Martin makes up and Sharbel Koumi checks.

Two Diamonds

Checked around.

Still checked around.

Checked to Koumi who bets 30k. Lefevre flat-calls and William Martin folds face up saying, "this ain't no good."

Koumi shows for the nuts. Lefevre apparently called with Q-J for top two. Anyone think both missed out on some value on there?

Wei Cheng moves all-in for 87k. Matt Cartwright calls on the button. Jim Peppercorn thinks about it for a moment in the big blind, but decides it's too salty for him.

Cartwright:

Cheng: Errrm... two spades

Wei Cheng is OUT in 8th place winning £2,111

William Martin min-raises the button and Matt Cartwright calls from the big blind.

Cartwright checks, Martin bets a very suspiciously small 26k and Cartwright quickly folds.
