Where do llalana and ballotelli fit in that team
Possibly
Mignolet
Manquillo Skrtyl Lovren Moreno
Gerrard
** Henderson **
Balotelli *
Sturridge
* rotate with Lallana , Sterling ,Coutinho
** perm /rotate 2 from Lallana , Sterling , Coutinho , Markovic
Agree with that, and would also add Markovic into the first rotation as well.
Allen and Can to be added to the midfield rotation.

Johnson at right-back scares the crap out of me, especially against City.

City too good across the park, and punished Liverpool for some individual errors Otherwise though, some decent football.
Think Can, Markovic and Balotelli will become starters in the first XI sooner rather than later, and of course Lallana to join the fray when he's fit. It's not all doom and gloom.
Just hope that Johnson's injury means he's out the team for a few games and in that time Manquillo can cement his place in the side. Johnson was bloody awful again.

+1
Thought we started well and had some success wide with Sterling. Then everything went through the middle until Markovic came on and we started to be successful wide again. We have got talented wide players so lets use them to take on the full backs.

Currently sending a large amount of horse placenta to the Johnson residence.
Not a euphemism.

If that was a euphemism, god only knows what it'd be for!

Started really well and looked comfy and in control.
Individual errors let is down. City good though which doesn't help when mistakes are made.
Out the way now, and another tricky on Sunday.
We don't seem to have the same pace about our game just yet.
Coutinho again wasn't at the races.
Good test of mental strength and "togetherness" after Sunday, as you can't rule out a 3/9 start...

Even though it was disappointing to see the team lose, was really happy to see Markovic getting a run for 30 minutes. He looks solid whenever he picks up the ball and always looks forward for a killer pass!! Back four will surely gel as the games comes thick and fast!!

Draw is happening at about 5 o'clock our time. Liverpool are going to get Barca, it's inevitable. Probably want to avoid Roma and PSG from the other pots?
It'll be interesting how Rodgers approaches the European games. Will he play a less all-out attacking approach to focus a bit on tightening up the defence, or is it going to be the same approach as usual? After a five year hiatus, it'll be good to have CLass football back at Anfield.

Donetsk are probably one to avoid. Where are they playing their home games?
