Silver has doubled in price in a year, Gold is at record highs, yet people are still saying 'buy'.

Seems a bit bubbly to me - how much more upside can there be?

What I'm being told is gold and platinum are maxed out but silver still has some way to go, I know nothing about it tbh, but I'm willing to have a bit of a punt. Also seeking advice elsewhere obv.

I was under the impression gold and silver were always bought up in a recession.

Recession nearly over, prices going to go down?

Well you can take a punt on that happening if you want? It tends to be gold everyone jumps on and its still rising this week, although I wouldn't buy any. Silver tends to lag a bit behind whatever gold is doing. When people realise the price of gold is too high they look at silver next, but I know f'all so don't follow my advice, but I have made £3.50 today on some Cheesy

You can spread bet on gold going down here if you fancy it, I might wait a touch longer then have a crack.

Precious metals are being bought by people who think the major governments are going to get out of the debt hole they are in by allowing inflation to take off.

This is especially relevant to the US as markets are generally priced in dollars, so if the dollar devalues, the price goes up by default.
