I really enjoy uploading content onto this section, and I hope you guys hold the same admiration.

Some of the stuff written by the likes of red, tikay, etc really is top notch.

In terms of witterings, if you haven't read the following, then I personally think you've been missing out.

Also been giving a lot of thought to the playing styles required to play the big festival events, I refer to this at the end of the report...again, all views welcome

You come across as someone a bit down and feeling sorry for yourself Tighty.

yups true I was a bit down....gonna do a blog warts and all though, no everything smells of roses when it doesn't.

It wasn't meant as a criticism of the blog, more an observation.

of course not, I didn't take it as criticism...it's fair comment and accurately observed

criticism is fine too....mostly!

I saw exactly the same thing happen at the last Luton Main Event.  Stuart Nash was involved in a hand and raised on the river.  His opponent thought he'd called and flipped over his cards at which point Stuart said "we need a ruling here, this hand is dead."

The opponent instantly said something along the lines of "fair enough", mucked his hand and carried on without another word.

Personally I think its a very harsh ruling especially as the times I've seen this happen they have been genuine mistakes, not angle shooting.  However, in the hand you describe, if an opponent who has seen my hand refuses to allow my hand to be mucked and offers me the chance to call instead, I don't think I want to put my money in the pot, regardless of how unlikely the chances of me losing seem to be!

Hi have to say that RedDog's blog is nothing short of superb!! I really enjoyed reading the one about Siddy hiding in the hole!

And I loved the one about RedDog waiting for his train watching the old porter on the platform. Arthur Isaacs MBE. That was such a nice story and that has set me up for the day day.

Thank you Richie! There are so many unsung heroes in this world (Siddy is a case in point, as you will see when his story concludes)

Everyone recognises certain types of hero, the frontline soldier, the mountaineer, the explorer, the he sports super star etc etc...

But the world is filled with heroes of a less glamourous kind. These are the ones I tend to notice, I write about them sometimes because they impress me so much. I worry that no one else will be interested, but it's my blog, I can indulge myself.     

How about this then. Happened at the gutshot last week, exactly the same thing. This time, he could make the call... but then suffer a 10 minute ban!

I think its fair enough for him to make the call and not raise because his cards were exposed , just a bit horrible for the other bloke to goad him into calling it and Kev can't get away from the hand with fullhouse.  Enough to put anybody on tilt I reckon

I think it's terrible though when they receive a ban for accidentally exposing cards as they are being mucked.

Common sense required sometimes.

Have to admire that lad's cheekiness tho, Tighty.

I rather enjoyed reading Red and Tikay's blogs. Was looking for the rest of the Siddy blog as I wanted to read more, so glad to hear another part is on its way :)

Nice blogs all round guys, I know the feelings you were expressing Tighty, I think most poker players can relate to those empty moments when the tourney is over and you are either very unlucky or feel that you havent played some hands well.

as for Siddy, na then dog, get t' next bit ooop.
