Title: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 02:43:01 PM Hello and welcome back to the ACF as the Day 1 survivors check back in with a table redraw and a plan to play down to either 35 or 27, no one can quite agree which. Good luck to all, especially the British and Irish contingent and those whom I have been following.....
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: corp0803 on July 27, 2005, 02:48:40 PM Hi can you tell me how Elvis Senior is doing?
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 02:52:35 PM Players are starting to stand around in the hallway in preparation for returning to the tables (all the chips are still in their plastic bags and you can't get in there yet).
Among others are milling: Frank Callaghan --the chip leader with 92,325 Gilles Haddad 70,850 Ken Lennard 67,525 Noah Boeken 61,425 Mikael Thuritz 59,000 Stuart Nash 52,750 Roland de Wolfe 45,775 Roy Brindley 45,525 Rob Hollink 41,175 Carlo Citrone 26,625 Nabil Ayoubi 26,200 Rory Liffey 25,725 Alexander Kuzmin 25,650 Andrew Black 23,575 Juha Helppi 20,950 Bruce Atkinson 20,825 Peter Heighway 19,325 Tobey Maguire 19,125 Jani Sointula 17,850 Tony Bloom 16,275 Surinder Sunar 12,950 Ayhan Alsancak 11,275 Devilfish 10,850 Isabelle Mercier 9,975 Dave Colclough 5,525 Barny Boatman 5,075 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 02:55:31 PM There are 81 players remaining according to the very helpful sheet the ACF has provided. We are also told where they are all seated - makes my job quite a bit easier. Out of interest, Noah Boeken, Alex Kuzmin, El Blondie, Stuart Nash, Peter Heighway and Carlo are all on the same table.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: tikay on July 27, 2005, 02:56:50 PM Good Luck Jen! Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 02:56:59 PM Elvis senior being Bruce, right? Slap in the middle in chips. Sat with Roland de Wolfe.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 02:57:43 PM Hey Tikay I don't need luck, the guys on the press table are all fish :)
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: tikay on July 27, 2005, 03:00:22 PM Compared to you Jen - CORRECTA-MONDO! Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: corp0803 on July 27, 2005, 03:04:32 PM Thanks
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 03:06:50 PM Oh - they've just started. I am going to catch the first hand of the day one of these days. Off to take a peek at the short stacks.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 03:08:58 PM <aside to Tikay: Can't remember the name of the guy who was winding Brian up calling him 'Son' - could you remind me for profile which is otherwise done>
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 03:23:29 PM El Blondie OUT - still not feeling well he took the inevitable double-up shot with pocket 6s on the big blind raising Noah Boeken's button raise with 10 J. The J appeared to knock him out.
Devilfish OUT - All-in pre-flop with the Q 9 of diamonds, he was called by 44 and although he picked up a flush draw on the flop he didn't improve. Wow, barely enough time to pick up the notepad. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 03:24:48 PM Andrew Black NOT OUT - (just testing) but he was all-in picking up 13,000 from the guy he dispatched. He's now in the low 30ks.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 03:39:37 PM Counts from the right-hand room:
Frank Callaghan perilously close to 100,000 Dan Alspach 51,000 Alan Goehring 28,000 Surinder Sunar 19,500 Gilles Haddad 59,000 Mikael Thuritz 69,000 Ayhan Alsancak 10,000 Roy Brindley 45,000 Steve Worr 18,000 Jani Sointoula 30,000 Tony Bloom 16,000 Casey Kastle 40,000 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Gripper on July 27, 2005, 04:01:32 PM Hi Jen,
you're doing a fantastic job in Paris just as you did at the World Series. Other blondeites may not know how good a player you are yourself though. You're far too modest to point out that you knocked Howard Lederer out of this event last year. :o Keep up the good work and hope to see you soon, Martin Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: TightEnd on July 27, 2005, 04:04:28 PM You're far too modest to point out that you knocked Howard Lederer out of this event last year. :o did you Jen? please tell us more! Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:08:59 PM Counts from the left-hand room, where a table has just been broken:
Roland de Wolfe 66,000 Bruce Atkinson 16,000 Rob Hollink 47,000 Rory Liffey 17,000 (these two just clashed in a 14,000 pot which Rob won with the 57hearts which made a flush on the river) Nabil Ayoubi 38,000 Ray Sanchez 52,000 Tobey Maguire 12,600 Isabelle Mercier 8,400 Adam Lounis 78,000 Barny Boatman 11,500 Andrew Black 32,000 Noah Boeken 62,000 Carlo Citrone 16,000 Alexander Kuzmin 18,800 Peter Heighway 21,000 Stuart Nash 49,000 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:09:48 PM Hurrah for the Gripper. Didn't know you were on our forum. Delighted. Oh, and can I write a player profile of you upon returning?
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Ironside on July 27, 2005, 04:13:11 PM jen is a fish
man i totally over ran her in the 2 rebuy event in walsall lol Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:13:35 PM I only knocked out Lederer that one time because he had a very small stack and I had a very big hand and went on a bit of a raising bender right before the end of the day. John risked undignified ejection from the ACF to get a picture which I nevertheless treasure to this day. :D I said hello to him here but he ignored me. I think he was concentrating.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: TightEnd on July 27, 2005, 04:15:00 PM Is it true that Lederer has, er..............bulked up a bit?
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:17:36 PM Yes I can't deny it Ironside. No contest.
Not sure who Adam Lounis is other than that he's French and really quite young-looking but I included him in the chip counts a) because he's never been low-chipped, starting the day with 48,000 and is playing very agressively just like yesterday to get himself to almost double that by the end of the first level which is about to be announced. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Gripper on July 27, 2005, 04:18:41 PM No problem, Jen. And give my best to John and Linda.
Martin Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:18:56 PM Tikay keeps staring at Lederer and saying, "he's very large isn't he" which i'm not so sure is that polite but he means it like rugby/american football player. Yes.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: TightEnd on July 27, 2005, 04:21:49 PM The more I hear about that Tikay fella, the more worried I get. Let's hope someone left the door to the Eurostar carriage open for him.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Ironside on July 27, 2005, 04:23:37 PM isnt tikay supposed to be in the UK filming?
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:28:51 PM Nabil 'NabTheAce' Ayoubi OUT - The GetMinted qualifier was all-in on a board of Q Q Q J (two diamonds) with the Kd3d, but his opponent (Curt Kohlberg, I believe) held two black Aces to leave him drawing dead. He headed out before I could chat to him with his cigar which presumably he can now smoke.
PLAYERS ON BREAK Tikay IS in London. He says he's coming back tonight. Crazy, isn't he? Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Shaa on July 27, 2005, 04:31:44 PM How is Roland de wolf doing??
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Gripper on July 27, 2005, 04:33:09 PM If you see Roland on the break tell him I'm shouting for him.
Martin Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: TightEnd on July 27, 2005, 04:33:12 PM What about Stuart Nash? Tricky guy to play against (current score 3 Nash 0 TightEnd)
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 04:38:58 PM Just before break, Isabelle Mercier - OUT
She, short-stacked, raised in the cutoff to 2000, the button re-raised to 6000 and she eventually called with A2off. The button showed tens, and the ten on the river only clinched it. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Robert HM on July 27, 2005, 05:01:39 PM What about Stuart Nash? Tricky guy to play against (current score 3 Nash 0 TightEnd) He knocked me out of the William Hill Comp at the Gutshot 2 or 3 months ago. No great feat though :D Ironside, don't forget there were two 2 rebuy comps that night and you were all beaten by a muppet in one of them ::) Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Shaa on July 27, 2005, 05:15:11 PM Is ironside a 2 multi player? ;)

Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 06:59:47 PM It was apparently the internet service provider's fault, so couldn't even grumble to the ACF...
Cheers MPower, it is very comfortable in here, with nice sofas to nap on when the computers go bust. I have been saving up the stories, so here they come: Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Ironside on July 27, 2005, 06:59:56 PM i havent heard from tony since he left for paris
as far as i know the techs in paris are trying to recover the wifi if i hear anything i'll let you know Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 07:02:09 PM Firstly, Bruce Atkinson - he has around 46,000 after a (much earlier) lucky catch against Andrew Black. Andy raised from the big blind with 9,3 and when he hit the flop got a caller for all his money in Bruce who held 5,5. The two-outer 5 on the river knocked Andy back to 18,000 but since then he has been working it back to around 30,000 now.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 07:07:11 PM The biggest pot of the tourney happened while we were down (typical). It was between Stephane Cohen and Patrick Selin (the Pokerroom MD) who were both sitting on nearly 50k. Patrick raised preflop to 2,000, was reraised a further 7,000 and then just moved all-in over the top for 45,000. No messing about.
After a dwell, Stephane called and showed KK to Patrick's AA (Roland, who related this story to me, passed AK). Flop: Ah Jh 4h. One of the Ks was a heart... Turn: Qc River: 10s So the outdraw came in the form of runner runner straight... giving Patrick a stack over 100k. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 07:12:33 PM There are a couple of 100k+ stacks floating about. One of them is Roland de Wolfe who seems to have added about 10,000 to his chips every time I do the circuit of his room. He's also a pretty good hand rememberer which comes in useful. Journalists, eh. Who let them play cards anyway? Full current chip counts on their way, via the renewed miracle of the internet.

Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 07:34:54 PM Some new counts then:
Andrew Black 44,000 (recovered nicely from earlier) Roy Brindley 58,000 (says he's hardly found a hand but every one he's played he's won. Quote: "I'm encouraged") Juha Helppi 29,000 Noah Boeken 72,000 Peter Heighway 10,000 Stuart Nash 32,000 Roland De Wolfe 105,000 Bruce Atkinson 41,000 Rob Hollink 25,000 Adam Lounis 78,000 Curt Kohlberg 80,000 Stephane Cohen 82,000 Tim Anders 65,000 (this guy has the most amazing long white hair, suit, straw hat and comedy sunglasses, and he's about 8 feet tall) Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 07:37:10 PM Noticeable by their absence and therefore to be marked as OUT are:

Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 08:43:38 PM So there are 43 players remaining. The blinds were just at 600 - 1200, ante 100 so we are guessing 800 - 1600 next but we press people don't know for sure as any bit of paper left lying on our little bench is nicked within two minutes of our vacating it if it has anything to do with the tournament.
They are looking on track to get down to 27 within the next two blind levels, although I don't know if they'll then just pack it in right away or wait until a convenient level-up moment. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 09:12:15 PM Hi RobertHM - Dave and Brian have gone for dinner but I have bravely decided to soldier on here (might be something to do with the long lunch I had during the internet downtime). I can describe my lunch for you if you like - Rolf treated me to a lightly crisp salad with fresh tuna and ripe tomatoes, little bits of egg and a savoury vinaigrette dressing, served with the unlikely accompaniment of some hot chocolate. Mmm.

Tikay has arrived all suited and fresh from London. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 10:53:31 PM Stop press (or ongoing counting): Ken Lennard - OUT!
His whole 80,000 got all in against Mikael Thuritz who covered him with KK vs Mikael's AA! No help for the Kings and he has suddenly found himself from in the top 10% to out and we have a new chip leader by a decent margin - with about 200,000 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: byronkincaid on July 27, 2005, 10:53:51 PM Could you let me know how Jason Strasser is doing, young american kid was chip leader at some point I think. I vaguely know him from another far inferior forum.
Thanks Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 10:55:45 PM P.S Sorry for the blank reply to your request earlier, Joe - upon Tikay's arrival we headed out for the dinner break after all. Remiss of me not to tell y'all.
Seems like the big stacks were just waiting til we got back to get busy, however. Recount Thuritz' stack as nearer 230,000 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 10:57:24 PM Just off to finish the counts. Consider Jason Strasser added to the 'followed' list.

Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 11:19:50 PM No sign of Jan Boubli in the tournament, but I haven't checked the cash games...
Jason Strasser 49,000 Tim Anders 74,000 Stephane Cohen 47,000 Adam Lounis 120,000 (just saw him make a huge call on the river with little pair against a bluffer for about 20k) Bruce Atkinson 42,000 Roland De Wolfe 85,000 Frank Callaghan 101,000 Mikael Thuritz 130,000 Roy Brindley 29,000 (had a 'double down' as he put it) Casey Kastle 11,000 Andrew Black 67,000 Noah Boeken 40,000 Peter Heighway 27,500 (The betfair qualifier wanted to know how many were left and when told about 40 looked quite surprised) Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 11:22:51 PM Final remaining female player Joanna Liu has been quietly amassing chips for quite a while. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 11:35:53 PM Stuart Nash OUT - having seen about three playable hands all day, he was whittled down to 20,000-odd and made a stand with sevens. They didn't work for him and his exit brings the total number of players left to 39
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: tikay on July 27, 2005, 11:42:39 PM Oh boy. Havng been AWOL all day, I have just read Jen's Live Update, her first totally solo effort. Is she the best updater that ever lived, or WHAT? Time for the 'ol fella to take a back seat methinks. You guys are in safe hands with Jen, that's for sure. And she enjoys it so - as you can tell. Look after her lads, she's the bizz. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 27, 2005, 11:44:09 PM I think it's the top 18 (there should be a post of the money one or two pages back...)
Players are ON BREAK, but the last hand before the break was big on 2 tables: 1) Roland limps UTG with KK, gets a caller to his left, as well as two calls from the blinds. Flop: 8 8 4. He bets 3,000, with two callers. Turn: 9 (now two diamonds up). The turn is checked around, and the exciting Kd comes on the river. His 10,000 bet is called by the s.b. who mucks his hand, but Roland reckons it was an 8 not a flush... 2) Casey Kastle moves all-in for less than 6,000 in late position. The player to his immediate left moves all-in over the top for a little over 20,000. The break is announced at this point and players start to get up and wander off but the small blind goes into dwell mode for what seems like ages before passing and showing AK. Casey has AK as well, which is looking less good now against the QQ he's facing. No help on the flop and he's out in 39th. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 12:28:23 AM We are getting many conflicting reports of what's going on here with regard to end of play today. The latest seems to be that they are going until there are 24 players left or it's 4am here (3am UK). Tom asked Rolf if it was usual for them to change their minds so often and he just replied, "It's France."
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: tikay on July 28, 2005, 12:39:41 AM Ahh, the reference to Dick (of Dick & Dom) on tonight's 425? I was extremely tired - zombie like in fact - which does not excuse my below-par peformance, but I do recall some chat about the fact that I'd never heard of Dick & Dom, but that apparently Dick's huge.
You must have an awful mind Robert, no double intendre was intended. Honest. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 12:40:34 AM Roy Brindley back up to 70,000 after announcing that he was "going to war." The major battle of said war involved his re-raising a guy with KQ and finding a monster pot unfolding with another caller and the original guy on AK and all-in. The Q arrived and he's back in good shape.
Roland De Wolfe was briefly at the dizzy height of 160,000 before finding AQ and getting a short(ish) stack all-in with A10. Unfortunately the 10 came straight away and he'll have to settle with the 120,000 he has left. Pls tell Roy that the geezer says go boy go !! Cheers Greg Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 12:58:04 AM Rick Chase was the guy whom Roy Brindley busted - and he had no idea who'd taken his chips - was going around asking who The Boy was...
Chips: Patrick Garrett 220,000 (definite new chip leader) Stephane Cohen 80,000 Imraan Ladak 100,000 Tim Anders 66,000 Roland de Wolfe 120,000 Adam Lounis 114,000 Joanna Liu 120,000 Mikael Thuritz 115,000 Roy Brindley 95,000 Andrew Black 50,000 Juha Helppi 58,000 Noah Boeken 42,000 Peter Heighway 46,900 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: TripleB on July 28, 2005, 01:00:25 AM Roy's on fire!
See you Sat Greg. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 01:09:52 AM Noah Boeken OUT - Tikay eavesdropping.
Noah raising with Q10 got a caller and a K Q 10 flop. Noah bet 12,000, bloke moved in, and he called (putting him on flush draw). He was dead right, but when the flush hit he was dead. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 01:24:54 AM **********Players on break************
It's getting a little warm in here again and people are getting tetchy as seems to be the pattern. Some 'time' being called and an interesting scene of an all-in guy who tried to get up and walk away but was made to sit back down as it was unfair on the player thinking about calling. So he sat down with his back to the table! Chip leader Patrick Garrett doubled up Oskar Hornell (pokerroom owner) to the tune of 50k when he called Oskar's all in on a 10c 6c 8h board. Patrick held 99 but Oskar's Qs 10s held up and he's back in it. The blinds have been 1000 - 2000 with a 300 ante. That's not a very helpful update is it? Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Robert HM on July 28, 2005, 01:30:34 AM Very helpful, you set the scene, now I am waiting for one player to lump another before the night is out. They willl have to sort out that aircon.

Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: SteveBee on July 28, 2005, 01:37:51 AM Jen.... Thanks so much for the updates. Trying to follow Pete Heighways debut and you've surpassed anything else on the web.
Asking a big big favour now ... Can you tell him Steve & Collette are following him on here and "reckon the boy's done good" Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 01:49:05 AM Chip leader Garrett Patrick (please excuse the name reversal, any friends of Mr. Patrick)
Mikael Thuritz just got his AQ all-in against AK and is now all but out with only 400 left. Sure Steve and Collette I'll go and let him know. He is quite inscrutable in his hat and dark sunglasses. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: SteveBee on July 28, 2005, 01:52:16 AM Please tell us you're joking re the hat and sunglasses..... unless they're his St George sunglasses ;D
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: luckyblind on July 28, 2005, 01:54:12 AM This is the chap who was made to sit back down, apparrently it was so his opponent could 'get a read'. so he turned his chair around!

Not quite accurate - I counted 27,000, but with the blinds at 1,500 - 3,000, ante 400 it's still quite short. Going to go see what happens.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 01:58:14 AM Thankyou Luckyblind - that is such a funny picture. I didn't notice that it came from you at first and got all outraged and showed Tom that someone had ALREADY nicked his picture without attribution to antesup.com. But that's OK.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 01:59:22 AM Back-to-front chair man is Imraan Ladak, incidentally.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 02:03:13 AM Quite a crowd growing on the other side of the Tournament Rope. I think they're down to 28 and people's friends are getting a bit excited.
Tikay is playing a 200 Euro no-limit game and just lost with trips to a straight to a guy who, noticing Tikay's hand, said in all seriousness, "No, look, he's got three of a kind. That beats a straight." Yegads. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: londonpokergirl on July 28, 2005, 02:07:23 AM When u coming back Jen, Slough Palace is missing ya :)
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: danafish on July 28, 2005, 02:10:17 AM Hello Jen, from the Living Room Crew. Ben says he's sorry he didn't pay you back that 20 quid, cat just knocked something over. We've made a cup of tea in your honour.
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: danafish on July 28, 2005, 02:11:15 AM Oh hello Mel. That's weird that we both started harassing Jennifer at the same time
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: RED-DOG on July 28, 2005, 02:13:19 AM Hi guys, great updates Jen
Tikay, is 425 really live,? guess thats why they havn't had me as a guest presenter Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 02:16:31 AM Hi - Wonderful that the lovely ladies have joined us. And Red-Dog. Was getting a bit quiet...
Sadly Roy Brindley OUT - and the tables are condensed to three... that was a phenomenal chip yoyo there. That table was the most exciting one to watch by a long shot. I am missing the Slough Palace too - the 2 2 no-limit game Tikay's found is beginning to appeal as a poor substitute. Oh, and we are on TV (425)! Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Colchester Kev on July 28, 2005, 02:20:10 AM How did Roy go out ???
Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 02:22:58 AM Peter Heighway just doubled through off Juha Helppi, going all-in with AQ vs AJ. The board came out Q J 3 Q K and he's now up to 66,600.
Sadly I was behind the friends'n'media throng when Roy went out so I am going to have to ask someone for the details. Just went to look for him and he wasn't there :-[ Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Royal Flush on July 28, 2005, 02:26:37 AM I remember playing that NL cash game earlier this year. Was crazy how poor and stupid the players were.
On 1 hand i finally picked up top pair vs the player who was raising evrey hand, calling all in with 83os pre flop etc. Kxx flop we get it all in my KT vs his KQ, for something like 550, and he offered to chop the pot 50-50!!!!!! "Yes" was my rather swift response. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 02:38:16 AM Roy Brindley exited making a preflop reraise with 67. Unfortunately, his opponent wouldn't lay down his AQ and with no improvement he was out...
Roland, having lost half his stack in bits here and there, just doubled through flopping a house (A 10 10 holding A 10). They checked the flop, and he checked the J on the turn; the other guy bet 15k - he called. He checked the 7 on the river and got a bet of 30k which he then raised all-in for 10 or so more. His opponent revealed the KQ for the straight but Roland was always going to win that one and is back to 125,000. Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: londonpokergirl on July 28, 2005, 02:56:38 AM Jen you do make me laugh :)
Unfortunately, his opponent wouldn't lay down his AQ and with no improvement he was out... lol I think Tikays dry humour is rubbing off on ya hehe see u soon, Hi Dana :) Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 03:16:17 AM DOWN TO 24************* they almost finished on time.....
Peter Heighway actually informed me that everyone was leaving. There really is no fanfare about anything down here...He has 55,000, by the way Roland has 176,900 Frank Callaghan 7000 Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Djinn on July 28, 2005, 03:22:34 AM Very sleepy now - you will get a full list tomorrow of all the final 24's counts. Seems harsh that 6 of them won't get any money... but such has been the decision.
Au revoir, Jen Title: Re: PARIS WPT DAY TWO Post by: Legume on July 28, 2005, 01:31:14 PM hey jen, r u online now?
