Title: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Nem on May 12, 2006, 12:50:37 PM Gallas/Crespo part of the deal.
Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 12, 2006, 12:53:23 PM Possibly both?
Tevez looks sealed. SWP to LFC! Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: TightEnd on May 12, 2006, 12:56:16 PM What are people's views on what happens to team selection in the Chelsea Midfield once Ballack arrives?
How do you play Lampard, Essien, Ballack and Makalele? Is Lampard likely to head to Spain as rumoured? Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Nem on May 12, 2006, 12:57:27 PM Makelele would be dropped.
Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 12, 2006, 01:06:29 PM Makaele would be dropped. Makelele is 33/34. You have to think Essien was bought to replace Makelele eventually. As we saw in the Semi-Final Chelsea are rubbish when playing narrow. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Nem on May 12, 2006, 01:09:45 PM If Shevchenko does go to Chelsea, the rest of the Premiership have NO CHANCE OF CATCHING THEM!
I would put my house on them. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 12, 2006, 01:16:13 PM If Shevchenko does go to Chelsea, the rest of the Premiership have NO CHANCE OF CATCHING THEM! I would put my house on them. I think from back to midfield we're quite close to them, we need another world class winger and a couple of good strikers. If we had Rooney/Nistlerooy last season we'd have gone close. I wouldn't swap our midfield for any other right now. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Hairydude on May 12, 2006, 01:36:59 PM Have to agree tho with Nemesis- hes the type of player Chelsea are missing and the rest would have no chance of catching them,
IMO there are only 3 strikers in the world like that and Chelsea desperatly need one of them if they are to gain the world domination they seek ;D- Eto(no chance) Henry(NO CHANCE) and Shevchenko(maybe) Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Rooky9 on May 12, 2006, 02:04:05 PM I think they bought Diarra(?) as the long term holding midfieder... he's looks the part from what I saw last week but he might not be given the chance to show it there....
Gudjohnsen would be a great foil for Owen next year, He must be one of the three leaving there this summer. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? IN: Ballack, Shevchenko and one other. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: brad.strider on May 12, 2006, 06:56:57 PM what about van nistelrooy for chelsea, no settling in period needed like with buying shevchenko
Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Nem on May 12, 2006, 06:58:48 PM what about van nistelrooy for chelsea, no settling in period needed like with buying shevchenko Man U would never sell to Chelsea. I think Bridge would be a good signing for you, I also think you need to strengthen at right full back too. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? I think Bridge would be a good signing for you, I also think you need to strengthen at right full back too. I agree. We had a £2million bid for Chimbonda refused by Wigan this week. But he is DEFINITELY coming to Spurs. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Nem on May 12, 2006, 07:12:05 PM how about with makelele going the other way? Now that is more likely, but Ferguson fancies the boy from Lyon. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 14, 2006, 08:48:46 PM Mourinho has called Gudjonsen "the white Maradona" before and thinks he's an excellent professional, so I doubt he's leaving.
One of Crespo or Drogba will go. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 14, 2006, 08:49:20 PM Bridge may yet play again as Del Horno was poor.

Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: AdamM on May 14, 2006, 08:54:09 PM suppose, still odd
Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: Rooky9 on May 14, 2006, 09:36:46 PM Mourinho has called Gudjonsen "the white Maradona" before and thinks he's an excellent professional, so I doubt he's leaving. One of Crespo or Drogba will go. I think he rates him highly but he has only played a handful of times this season... to be honest if he's such a good professional I'd expect him to want to leave now and play some football. Its always a fine line between being a good pro, plugging away in training - waiting for your chance, and sitting on your arse picking up the money! No doubt Jose wants to keep him in his squad, but i dont think he could stop him leaving if he wanted to. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 15, 2006, 02:03:01 PM Ballack has come. I'm quite happy as it stopped Man U getting him and becoming great again and now some first team players at Chelsea (ie Lampard) may get upset!
Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: EuroChamps on May 15, 2006, 02:55:42 PM I have heard in one paper that Shevchenko is going to Chelsea for Crespo and £30 million.
Even by Chelsea standards that is idiotic! Crespo may not have produced his best form in England but he scored more goals in Italy than Shevchenko and is IMO a better finisher. Shev is now what 29-30??? coming into the twlight of his career but they still want to pay £30m??? Ballack on the other hand is a terrific player who deserves all the praise, can be lazy at times but can also produce magic. Gudjohnson may leave Chelsea for Blackburn I heard a few weeks ago, He is a good player but doesn't score enough goals. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: The Baron on May 15, 2006, 02:58:09 PM Gudjohnson may leave Chelsea for Blackburn I heard a few weeks ago, He is a good player but doesn't score enough goals. The season he played up front with Hasselbaink they scored 55 between them. Since Mourinho he's been dropped into midfield. Title: Re: Shevchenko going to Chelsea? Post by: EuroChamps on May 15, 2006, 03:02:03 PM Yeah that maybe, but that was in a different Chelsea Team, with a different mentality. Even if mourniho has dropped him back he still isnt scoring enough, he has been injured aswell i believe??? anyway if he leaves, i think it may take him a while to get the goalscoring touch back, thats if he gets it back at all. (not everyone is as good as Robbie!!!!) lol
