Title: Grumpy Old Men Post by: Sark79 on May 12, 2006, 10:18:44 PM This is a TV show that I just can't watch. It kills me to have to sit and watch it . What is good about watching some people complain? Does anyone like it? .
Surely it would be better to say what is good about being healthy and alive rather than finding the smallest thing to moan about. Ooops thats what I am doing now :D Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: RED-DOG on May 12, 2006, 10:23:22 PM Funny, I thought this would be a thread in praise of it, I love it!
Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: Sark79 on May 12, 2006, 10:26:00 PM I just can't get it, Red. I have tried to sit and watch it a couple of time with friends. I guess it must be me, they love it as well.

Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: Sark79 on May 12, 2006, 10:32:24 PM Well , I did actually say to the Bus driver today . " Kids these days have no respect ". A bunch of buck fast fueled Kids were rioting on the Bus and were thrown off. After I said it, I thought to myself....Jesus I am getting old. I went home and put on my carpet slippers and cardigan.
Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: doubleup on May 12, 2006, 10:33:01 PM I'm getting pretty close to being a GOM - a poker version would be quite good.
In Blackpool (an exceptionally well run tourney for the uk) the dealers kept on taking in the chips which is unnecessary in nl and can cause huge hassle - when I started moaning about this I thought oh no I am a GOM 8) Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: Colchester Kev on May 12, 2006, 10:34:56 PM You are a GOM ... you never bought me a drink all week ;)

Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: tikay on May 13, 2006, 08:45:13 AM What channel is this on? Is TK on it? :D I'm warning you. Pack it in. Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: TightEnd on May 13, 2006, 02:24:04 PM I love this programme too
Sark, stick to Balamory.....its your sort of place...everything's perfect :D Title: Re: Grumpy Old Men Post by: ariston on May 13, 2006, 02:29:21 PM You know you are getting old when you drive down the street and see an 18 year old in just a belt type skirt and instead of trying to have a sneaky peep you just think "she must be bloody freezing". I also thought GOM was just another show Tikay was on- he is taking over from Johnathon Ross next week I've heard.

No only joking, that is worse than GoM. I like HE-MAN if I had to make a choice. One good thing about Grumpy Old Men is Will Self. He is a funny guy. Or when you shout upstairs to the kids, "turn that bloody racket down" and then turn to the missus, "they don't make music like they used to". |
