Don't know about you lot but I'm really looking forward to it, here is a page with a few pictures of this years house, It has an 'inside/out' theme to it, but looks rather uncomfortable!

For the first time in Big Brother history, a member of the public will be chosen at random for the unique chance to become a housemate in this year's Big Brother house, that is if they are lucky enough to find a special golden ticket hidden inside a chocolate bar.

Running up to the launch of Big Brother 7, via a huge logistical operation, special KitKat bars will be distributed amongst up to 40,000 retail outlets nationwide ranging from the major Supermarkets to local convenience stores, newsagents and confectionery kiosks in train stations.

Stringent security measures have been put in place to protect the operation of competition. This morning*under the watch of an independent security team, Big Brother will hand over the prized tickets for delivery to a secret location where they will be inserted into the bars.

100 golden tickets will be placed into KitKat four-finger single bars and Kit Kat Chunky single bars for distribution across the country. The lucky winners of these tickets, having passed the programme's prerequisite and thorough background checks, will be invited to pack their bags, say goodbye to their loved ones and head down to the Big Brother studios for a special live TV broadcast where one of the lucky ticketholders will then be chosen at random to enter the house.

Earlier this year, open auditions held across the UK attracted a record 25,000 contestants to apply but producers of the Channel 4 show hope that the golden ticket initiative will attract the interest of a wider range of people.

The golden ticket competition opens at 10.30pm on Thursday 18th May and is available in 24hr stores and from opening time for other retailers on Friday 19th May. The competition closes on Friday 2nd June at 10.20pm.

On discovering a golden ticket, each of which are printed with a unique security coding, purchasers will have to ring a special 24-hour telephone hotline number for their chance to land a place in the Big Brother House.

The public are so ficcle, one minute their screaming for someone on the friday night eviction, so i run down the bookies the next day to lump on only to read a sun front page arcticle on the monday about how everyone should now hate that housemate >:(

The golden ticket idea has been done before. There was a fella called Wonka that did it a few years back.  He ended up giving away a chocolate factory.  He looked a lot like Gene Wilder, I saw the documentary one Christmas

Big Brother design 'evil genius'

Designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has described the new Big Brother house as "the seventh circle of Hell", adding the creator is "an evil genius".
The set - shown to the press ahead of Thursday's launch - was "a lot less well behaved" than previous years, the Changing Rooms host told the Guardian.

The house is dominated by glass and an "inside out" theme, with a carpeted garden and grass in the kitchen.

Meanwhile, the Sun says there will not be enough beds for all 12 contestants.

The newspaper claims there will be three double beds, one more than last year.

'More twisted'

Producers of Channel 4's reality show have promised Big Brother 7 will be "more twisted than ever" during its 13-week run.


Producers say the contestants will be more exposed than ever

They have deliberately included several glass walls and mirrors so contestants feel exposed and insecure while they are together.

Llewelyn-Bowen described the interior as resembling "glass-fronted, boudoir-inspired, flock-printed panic rooms".

He said a dining table and stools - placed outside in keeping with the back-to-front theme - were "exquisite, absolutely beautiful, really refined, terribly elegant".

Overall, the look was "about wit and irony", he said, and people would be "enormously interested" in it.

A member of the public will be admitted to the house as a competition winner.

One hundred golden tickets have been hidden inside Kit Kat chocolate bars and the owner of one of them will become a housemate.

BIG Brother chiefs have given The Sun a glimpse of the housemates from hell who’ll star in the biggest ever series from tonight.

The wannabes will be filmed moving into Britain’s most famous house from 9pm — where they’ll stay for up to 13 weeks.

We previously revealed they include former Miss Wales Imogen Thomas, 23, well-endowed Tourette’s sufferer Peter Stephenson and a posh pal of Prince Harry’s.

Also lined up are a believer in Native Indian spirituality, a knitter, a mum, a bagpipe player and a gay barman who enjoys six-in-a-bed.

I'm not sure it's too ethical sticking all these people together when some of them clearly have issues and need some counselling... but.....I'm loving it - not got in to it before, but this is pure freak show material eh!!! - some great laughs to be had... just don't take it seriously!!

Glasgow (and the West of Scotland in general) has a very macho image which must make things hard on effeminate lads growing up, the guy will have suffered from his peers. A barmaid at my local grew up on the same street as him, says he was 'strange' back then. Stealing footballs off the younger kids & going to play netball with them, dressing up strange etc. Allegedly his Dad used to dish out severe beatings for his 'poofy' behaviour.

The guy's got serious problems & shouldn't be on a 'game show' instead he should be getting help. I watched this last night after hearing about him & his behaviour, I honestly think he'll end up hurting himself or someone else on the show if they don't get him out. Although a live chibbing would be a ratings winner  ::)

I watched it last night and thought it was horrible.

The whole bunch of them ganging up on the poor nutter. He ain't strong enough to deal with that surely. It's car crash TV so it is.

So I'll be tuning in again this evening.

Couldn't watch it anymore Tank - that's no longer entertainment but torture. The guy's suffering and is a danger to himself and the others in the place. To keep him there is cruel, all they're doing is giving him an audience for his self-harming behaviour.

About time too! Whilst it started off as entertaining towards the end it was painful to watch. Hope they give him some sort of councelling because some of the behaviour he displayed shows serious psychological issues.

entertainment is now gonna be BB standard I reckon after Shahbaz walked.... should be comedy though; some right charactors in there and not too much tension at the moment... sure that'll change soon...

He hid all the housemates food outside, changed the shopping list which had been decided by the group to things he wanted, threatened to kill himself, insulted everyone. One of the young guys in the house said he felt uncomfortable with the way he was so "touchy feely" to him and Shebaz basically told him to get over it and wasn't gonna change. Obviously the threat of suicide far outweighs the other behaviour, but all in all it was how a stable person would behave.

ive seen BB twice and its quite clear this shebazz geezer is an actor hired by big brother.

im quite diverse, but this fella is just plain off his rocker, must be an act

She was called to the Diary Room this morning where Big Brother reminded her of the rules of the Big Brother house, specifically communication with the outside world, and informed her that she would be ejected immediately, and must leave through the Diary Room.

Given that Amoeba Goody has certainly made more than that, i'd say it's great value.

i think 90% of the housemates that havent walked have made over £100k from magazine interviews photo shoot and personal apearances those that havent have kept themselves out of the public eye for personal reasons

for someone wanting the exposure £100k is a safe bet if you are sure on getting into the house

So £4k for a golden ticket was still +EV

And certainly +BPV for the hubbie wot bought it.

He is convinced it was not a fix,and said he had a fab time. he paid £570 for his ticket from some student that found it in the choc bar and said it was worth every penny.

Tonights show clearly indicated that something fishy is going on down at the freak house.

i see grace has decided to let us think that she slept with mikey now,and she says ashleen is a gheto hoochie.i think shes going to be renamed the sloan slapper.does she really think that it will keep her in.

Both Grace and Nikki seemed to be eating humble pie yesterday after their antics. I must say Grace seems to be at the centre of all the bitching and stiring and I cant wait to see her reaction to what people think of her and why.

TWO male housemates were thrown off Channel Ten's reality program Big Brother late yesterday after the alleged sexual assault of a female contestant.
The future of the controversial top-rating show is now in serious jeopardy with influential SA Federal MP Trish Draper calling for it to be taken off air immediately.

Twenty-year-old Ash, whose real name is Michael Cox, of Perth, and John, who is 21-year-old Michael Bric, of Melbourne, were escorted off the compound at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast late yesterday afternoon after 70 days in the house.

The alleged incident occurred at 5.30am (AEST). Footage shows John and Ash getting into bed with Camilla Halliwell, 22, of Victoria. John lies beside Camilla and holds her while a half-dressed Ash kneels over her, the footage shows......



Ohh dear..

BB are playing a very cruel trick on Ashlene.

The took her into the new house where she was joined by 5 other housemates 3 Men and 2 woman.

She was then told that she had to pick 4 of them to be evicted at the end of the week and she and 1 housemate of her choice would be going back in.

Davina then announced at the end that it would in fact be the other way round and the 4 people she evicts will be going into the house and Ashlene will in fact be out on Friday.

Not a very nice thing to do IMO :-(

I thought she was definately going abck into the house.  Coz when they announced that ashleen and suzy were up, they said that the person chosen would definately be going back into the house.  Or did that mean she would be going into the second house??

BB is well twisted this year!

They have told her she is going back with 1 new housemate however they have lied to her.

She is not going to be a happy bunny at the end of the week.

Oh how funyn, Ashlene totally thinks she's going back into the house!

I'm not too sure about the new housemates, I like the gay one, don't know his name, but I can see him causing problems if he is moved to the new house!
