Title: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: Rusty on May 13, 2006, 04:17:04 PM Has anybody else noticed how a lot of people seem to be using the same images on poker stars? Do pokerstars provide some general images for people to use that i missed or are there other forums like blonde getting all their members to use the same image?
There's two specific images i've noticed which is - what appears to be snow covered bushes/trees - a dark blue on one half merging into a light blue on the other half anyone know anything else about these? Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: redsimon on May 13, 2006, 04:19:30 PM I understand the latter one comes on micosoft machines..

Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: Sark79 on May 13, 2006, 04:44:36 PM fair enough, now that's cleared up, why do so many people use pictures of their dogs? I would do this, but I have two dogs. Although they aren't all that interested in poker, there is always the possibility that one of them could see the other as my avatar. That could cause some feelings to be hurt. Such a funny looking avatar. Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: Div on May 13, 2006, 05:25:06 PM There is an avatar which loads of players use which is a website advert.
I think it's for a site that lets players trade their tourney dollars. Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: jbsc7769 on May 14, 2006, 03:27:43 PM more to the point, why do players insist on using avatars of baby? You know what is is like..I would really like to see the numbers involved, my guess is baby pictures genarte more chat complaints than any other issue, lol
For e.g: Player 1 - That is one f$%kn ugly baby Player 2(and mother) - F*&k You Player 3 - too f%kN funny.... etc Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: Nem on May 14, 2006, 03:54:08 PM I would do this, but I have two dogs. I didn't have an avatar for ages as I wanted something that made me smile when I choose it and so I picked my current one. You are right though, I played a HU game once, went something like badman: nice baby me: thanks badman: looks like a dump I had earlier :| that's the only time I've had unkind remarks though. Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: RED-DOG on May 14, 2006, 11:52:16 PM I get loads of stick from the yanks because of the union jack. They also say I look gay in my pic, I don't deny it, and I type in kisses when I win a pot, then one will say to they other "Hey Cory, did the gay Brit take your chips?"
They end up fighting amongst themselves. xx Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: lazaroonie on May 14, 2006, 11:56:07 PM I have noticed this Red, - nothing tilts up americans like pretending to be gay, making "gay" comments, blowing kisses etc.
some people might not consider it "fair", but I consider it fair game. I never start it, I like a pleasant table, but sometimes you get one or two 'macho' types who like to throw insults and then I just play along Title: Re: Pokerstars Avatars Post by: steeley68 on May 15, 2006, 12:01:34 AM my wife's not photogenic Sorry Dewi, I thought you said pornographic!
